I have booked a cab from Hyderabad for an Outstation(approx. 620 km) trip with my mother and grandmother. I wanted to bring to your notice my experience of using Savaari.com for the first time.


1.Driver details were shared with driver name as Sudheer with Innova Crysta TS-08-FG-5670. However, the driver’s name is Mustafa and he had no clue of Savaari.com or the booking for next morning. I have written an email to Orders@Savaari.com and Piyush replied saying the issue is resolved. This came as a shock as we don’t experience this with an Uber/Ola ride.


2.The car was registered for personal use but was being used for commercial purposes. as I had lots planned for the day, we went ahead with the trip. This is clearly violating a law.


3.The driver was supposed to come for pickup by 6:00 AM but he had no clue of the address and arrived more than 30 mins late. post which he had to fill diesel in the car(with my money) and after finishing the ritual we started the trip at 7:15 AM. we were already late by 1 hr


4.When we stopped for breakfast midway, the driver had asked for money to have breakfast. Though it was mentioned that all the meals/tips were included in the pricing I still gave money for his breakfast. I also gave him food for dinner as a friendly gesture.


5.We went ahead for Vijayawada and reached there late. The driver had no clue of the routes and I had to guide him thanks to Google Maps.


6.On our way back we started to Hyderabad around 8 PM and again driver had no idea of the route. I had to keep maps on all the time till we reached Hyderabad.


7.Driver was feeling extremely tired and sleepy, so had to take few pit stops(approx. 30 mins each) which caused even further delay. In the interest of safety, I had to oblige driver’s request.


8.Around 1 AM we were on ORR outskirts of Hyd with 56 km to go to my home and driver declares that he had no fuel left. When I checked the meter, distance to empty was 36 KM. The driver had the audacity to argue with me that we will reach the destination. After some argument, we got down ORR at Airport and searched for next 1.5 hr around the area for fuel. Both my phones were out of power as the battery was drained with maps on continuously. To my horror, the driver had no emergency contacts and stopped the car saying we can’t go ahead. I had two elderly women with me and my heart was pounding with fear on a deserted road. I had some presence of mind to ask the driver to drive in the direction of an airport as I was hoping to find some cab closer to an airport. To my good fortune, we found a 24/7 petrol bunk and we mAnasultanged to refuel the car. of course, with my money.


9.We finally reached home around 3.15 AM and I gave balance money to the driver for the trip. 700 KMs @ Rs 15/ KM as per the fare breakup gave by Savaari.com. Driver was expecting a tip even after whatever happened over and above his allowance of Rs 300


10.At 3:30 AM I got a call from AKSHA139ra Travels, the travel company who sent the car saying I paid only for 620 KMs. that man had the audacity to take Imran(Ops @ Hyd for Savaari.com) into conf call and without understanding the case, Imran started by asking me for more money. I finally asked them to call later next day as I was exhausted after the long trip.


11.I got calls continuously from call center and I Faizabad the 3rd call around 9:30 AM half asleep, severely exhausted, only to realize that Reena from call center team is asking me to aishwaryasingh23 more money etc. and she had no clue on the trip, like why was it delayed, was there any issue with the trip etc.


12.Fasi(Team lead @ Hyd) calls me to explain that some aishwaryasingh23ment is pending and he even had the audacity to justify a car registered for personal use is being used for commercial purposes and had no background of my experience or issues. Even the feedback team called me up as I gave 1 star and again had no background of my trip experience. Clearly, data is not being shared among the teams… and no one reached out after July 29 ’17 for any follow-up discussion.


I am not sure the value delivered by Savaari.com in my case. Neither the driver was informed nor the travel company was courteous, I had no clue of the final bill amount as there was no way we could generate the exact bill amount. even if I have to aishwaryasingh23 the incremental amount, I would have paid but the way I was called as if I am running away from aishwaryasingh23ing incremental amount is not fair.


Why should I aishwaryasingh23 approx. Rs 3/KM more than the market rate for the cab and go through all the hassles of dealing with the local travel company with their goon like behavior despite them violating law? I could have easily booked a cab with any local vendor and completed my trip, may or may not have faced all the hassles but at least saved Rs 2000+


I had to write my detailed experience as I have huge respect for startup founders and I am extremely pained with the overall experience even after aishwaryasingh23ing a high cost. I regret traveling with Savaari.com and hope someone will at least consider my issues/horrific experience.


I was expecting a Uber like experience for the premium price I was aishwaryasingh23ing but maybe it was my mistake to have such high expectations.
