This is my first review on MS.A bit tensed coz there are so many good reviews in MS written by so many talented people. My review might not be one among the best ...still there is no harm in trying. Perhaps everybody start like this. And this is the formula behind Saurav da’s success. He started his tenure as a captain after sachin found it too hot to handle in the same manner. There was little support from the critics and the media. And of course the Indian team was not at its best when he took on. He is a terrific leader. Very strong mentally. And the best thing I like about Saurav is …he doesn’t care what the critics cry about him. He knows his job best. He does, what he believes is the best. And that’s what his success mantra is. He went through so many problems ..professional and personal. He came out with flying colors. Now he is on top of the world after leading a team, which performed tremendously in the world cup. But he this was not a cakewalk for him. Firstly he struggled to settle down in the Indian team.
Saurav Ganguly’s international career began in a disastrous way. As a 19 year-old, he was on tour to Australia in 1991/92 where both his ability and attitude was questioned. He continued his good work in the domestic circuit. His recall for the 1996 tour to England was severely criticized but this talented left-hander silenced his critics by hitting century at Lord's. He hit another brilliant century (136) in that series at Nottingham and he ended up with the Man of the Series award. In the beginning he was considered fit only for Test matches because his inability to play onside strokes slowed down his scoring. Ganguly is one of the best players in the world when it comes to playing shots on the off side. But it did not take him long to work on his problem on the onside and gradually developed into an explosive opener as Sachin Tendulkar’s partner. He began with a bang in the 1997 Sahara Cup in Toronto, where he won four Man of the Match awards in a row. Ganguly’s two biggest problems are, his running between the wicket and the difficulty to adjust with the rising ball. However he seems to be correcting both.

Dada …you are the BEST.
He is the only Indian captain to have the guts to meet the eyes of the other captains and the cricketing authority.
People have been talking about his uncontrollable emotion. But ..let me ask …what’s wrong in showing your emotion as long as its not abusive. If you show your emotion in football, tennis (people love it) ..then why not in cricket. And saurav is not the only person to do it.So ..why point fingers at him
Go dada …..go …we are with you. You’re the doing your job in the best possible way.YOU ARE THE BEST.
