Satyagraha is a Hindi Political movie directed by Prakash Jha. Satyagraha deals with the movement of the middle class to re-negotiate democracy. Story of a man who is a firm believer of Gandhian principles, an ambitious entrepreneur who represents the modern India shining philosophy, a social activist who aims to be a politician who uses every means to break the system. The movie reflects the uprising of the middle class against a corrupt and unjust system that leaves it with no recourse but to form a spontaneous movements to challenge the status quo. A man who is dynamic and ambitious faces consequences of corruption in the country and later joins hand with and old man and they ignite that escalates into a massive movement.

Satyagraha One Time Watchable

I had predicted the same (2-2.5).

Amitabh is the show stealer of the film, Ajay was perfect, Kareena looked glamorous as the reporter. Arjun Rampal was noticed. Manoj bajpayee wad too good. There were too many bloopers in the film.

Some sequences were amazing specially the initial hour. If I just have to rate the first half of the movie, I'd have given 3.5/5. First half was superb while second half was disappointing, slow, boring and overdone - reminds us of Anna Hazare - basically no newness to the story line.

Overall watchable but not that good
