How often do you see a music album that has all different genre's of music in it? A little rock, and little bollywood, a little rajasthani, a little ghazal and a mix of patriotism? Well, this is exactly what I found from Sarfarosh. The thing that makes this album so special is the versatility each of the tunes has. OK, it may not be one of the best albums Bollywood has experienced, but its still great!

--------------------------

Track 1 - Jo Haal Dil Ka

--------------------------

This track starts of with Eena Meena Deena. I remember when I first heard this track, I was thinking, Oh God, is this one of those cheesy remakes?'' Thankfully, I was wrong. Soon the EMD is taken over by some soft, but great beats and the rest of the song accompanied by a rock theme. Its a romantically fast paced song, sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik. It shows that romantic songs don't have to be slow all the time. The lyrics are nice, the music is great - go listen to it!

yeh mujhko khabar hai....yeh tujko pata hai....

jo chaya dhadkan pe....chahat ka nasha hai.....

deewana tera bekaraar ho raha hai.....

jaane jaan dil pe pyar ka.....ajab sa asar ho raha hai....

--------------------------

Track 2 - Hoshwalon Ko Khabar Kya

--------------------------

This is an absolutely beautiful track, sung by none other than Jagjit Singh. The most beautiful thing about this ghazal is the https://lyrics....they are absolutely stunning. The music and vocals are great as well - this is a must listen!

khulti zulfon ne sikhayi....mausamon ko shaiyari....

jhukti ankhon ne bataya....maikashi kya cheez hai....

ishq kijiye....fir samajhaya....zindagi kya cheez hai.....

hoshwalon ko khabar kya bekhudi kya cheez hai.....

--------------------------

Track 3 - Is Deewane Ladke Ko

--------------------------

This is a sweet track that'll make you smile no doubt. Alka Yagnik sings it very well and the little intervals from Aamir and Sonali really do set the scene. This is a very sweet song - just go listen!

phool khilte hai....bahaaron ka sama hota hai....

aise mausam mein hi to....pyar jawan hota hai...

dil ki baaton ko....hothon se nahin kehte....

ye fasana to...nigahon se bayaan hota hai....

--------------------------

Track 4 - Meri Raaton Ki

--------------------------

A song with a Rajasthani style to it, it is sung well by Alka Yagnik. The lyrics are average, the music is ok. I don't always listen to this - I skip it when I can't be bothered. A nice track - nothing special though!

Rating; 6/10

meri raaton ki neende udade....

ki main fir dulhan ban jaoon.....

hire moti ke kanghan pehna de....

ki mein fir dulhan ban jaoon....

--------------------------

Track 5 - Yeh Jawani

--------------------------

Aargh what am I listening to? Is this the same Kavita Krishnamurty who sang Aaj Main Upar and Pyar Hua Chupke Se? Why is she shrieking in this song?! This must be a context song because it sounds awful outside the film! The vocals are screechy, the beats are too heavy, and it seems like a pretty pointless track. Still, every album has its downfall doesn't it?!

Rating: 4/10

thandi sama....dil hai jawaan....

saare yahan josh mein.....

kya raat hai....kya baat hai....

koi nahi hosh mein....

--------------------------

Track 6 - Zindagi Maut Na

--------------------------

Just when this album was gradually dropping in my view, this last track came along and lifted it up again. Remember Sonu Nigam and Roopkumar Rathod who sang Sandesh Se Aate Hai? Well, they're back again singing this song which is just as great. It really give you a patriotic feel and want to make you do something for the world! Come, rise, stop everything before its too late!

Rating: 11/10

ik taraf pyar hai.....chahat hai....wafadari hai....

ik taraf desh main......dhoka hai.....gadaari hai.....

bastiya sehmi hui.....sehma chaman saara hai....

gham me kyon dooba hua.....ab sab nazaara hai....

COMMENTS AND RATINGS MOST EAGERLY AWAITED!!!
