If I had written this review after the first 5 to 6 episodes, I would have gushed eloquent about this new lease of life to my TV serial viewing. Before this serial was launched, I preferred to spend my leisure time either watching the English channels (HBO, Star - Movies, World. ZEE - English, MGM.) Or surfing the Net.
They started off in the right track. They used to show Doctors treating patients, the patients side story and the doctors and interns personal lives.
Now they are just like any other serial revolving around the love stories and heart breaks of the main protagonist. And even in that they are stretching the story to unbearable limits. I mean if a guy and a girl are in love, just how many insurmountable barriers are going to come in their path before the viewer loses interest?
And anyway this was supposed to be a ER type serial showcasing the doctor patient relationship and what medical challenges people have to face and how sometimes Life wins and sometimes Death takes the trophy.
I hope that this serial gets back on track soon and resumes showing patients also rather than just the doctors and interns that we are forced to see now a days.
PLUS another bad point is that they had to change two of the stars mid way. Those playing the roles of Rahul and Simran. Though Rahul was slowly accepted I can't see my-self accepting the new simran. The earlier one was sweet and that was how her character was too. Since the character started getting grey and now is Infact very negative they have replaced with a actress who people would have accepted as a vamp, but I do not think this is doing any great help to the character. Hope this serial becomes interesting again as there is a dearth of interesting serials on Air today.
