Well there are already millions of reviews of this mighty phone only to add to the confusion of whether to buy or not or wait for the price cut. However, 3 days ago I just went n bought it for around 38, 800.
Mine is a black one.Vendor threw me a screen guard n also cut my sim to convert it to micro sim saving the hassles of going to IDEA office. Screen guard doesn't come pre-installed - what a shame. Also downloaded some games n apps for free. I traded my old Nokia N8 for 7K. N8 was a good phone, so very easy to use, n had a great camera, however the turning off issues during calls put me down.
Ok back to SGS4: Here's a quick review
Pros:
Initially I thought it must be a huge phone real estate wise, but it slides down my trouser pocket easily n it's weightlessness makes you forget your phone is there.
Guys (n Gals) everyone says it looks shitty n plasticity, but somehow I find it looks not that bad. Back cover has some good shiny glaze n changes colors at different angles. Although I personally dream t to have a phone with a body of an Iphone n hardware of a sgs4. But you see life is not all that fair sometimes.
Screen is awesome, amazing, superb, killer whatever. Simply the best.

I always checks for CONS first before buying any stuff coz people have tendency to get carried away by those marketing tricks, n those mother-son sentimental ads (typical Indian mentality)
Here are some
CONS:
Well the first day I regretted why I bought this stupid phone in the first place shelling out a whopping 40K apprx which is insane. just had waited around 6 months more for a sure price cut however my old phone was dying n had no choice. The second reason for regret was that there were hardly any apps out of the box to just start enjoying the phone right away. Also the 16GB internal memory had only around 8gb available before I could even click a photo. I plan to buy a 32gb ultra SD card to avoid lags during burst mode shooting or video recordings. Although I did not notice any lag as of now.
Second major issue is that the phone heats up considerably during: Charging, gaming, conversation. I am going speak to the vendor about this shortly. I guess the gas guzzling 8 core CPU is packed in a crammed space n need some air.
Phone is complicated to use sometimes. Although this is my first full fledged andriod smartphone so take this from a layman's point of view as I am not a geek. I had earlier an iphone n it was simply the easiest to use. N8 was not bad either. I wanted to connect the phone through my laptop's wifi internet however after many tries it did't work. I got idea 3G pack for 249 (1gb). Other phones never had this issue.
Battery is 2600mh, sounds big, however it drains quick as well, situation is not very bad but noticable when playing games, watching movies or on the net.
Sound is not that loud for ringtones or playing song thru speaker n sound quality is average, however quality thru earphones is good.
Most of the free apps available on google play store are crap n full of adware. I want to throw in an antivirus soon as I heard from a inside man that virus attack is imminent if downloaded from unreliable source.
Accessories are so very expensive. Flip cover between Rs.1800-2400. A/v MHL cable not out of the box need to shell out 4-500 bucks if you wanna connect it to your Flat TV.
Does not allow office document edit only view.
Lastly, gesture control thing is crap, use your finger guys.

To sum it up, Samsung has shamelessly put this phone in the market for such an exorbitant price which does not justify it. I'll suggest for those who are fooled by the ads to wait for few months for the price drop. 30-32k should be a good buy.
