I recently got a Corby Pro as a gift and got hooked onto it immediately. Im quite impressed by its ability having used LG Cookie and hten a Nokia n96 . I like the clean layout for hte compact size. The cometition is not far behind.
The major things I liked are -
1 Clean bright display with large comfortable characters
- Contacts - You can decide wether the contacts are to be saved onto phone or SIM but hte negative is that I have seen double entries.
3 Audio is excellent - very good clarity with radio and MP3 files. The earphone cable issplit into two - you can use it as an ordinary earphone way asa music player or you can also extend it with the microphone part connected to it !!!!! Normally all mobiles have this in one piece.
4 Video is good but I havent copied movies onboard to test it
5 Bluetooth - my 3 year old Motorola earpiece connected instantly
6 Battery - excellent -it has lasted me 3 days per charge with one hour talktime average adn 2 hours music every day.
7 Keypad - Very comfortable to use (not like a blacberry which I hate - even though precise). Im yet to discover how to enable T9 predictive text in notes.
- Ringtones / alarms - Beautiful pleasing sounds . I listen to the alarm twice before waking up.
The 2Gb memory card is dumb this phone should be given atleast 8 GB inbuilt
9 Lots and lots of applications available because it uses JAVA. Go to getjar.com and you will find tons of free stuff.
10.Camera - got a 4X zoom but hte trigger is little oddly placed because of the body case. Will take getting used to. But does a geat job with a 3 mega picture and excellent quality. But I was not too satified with the indoor quality
Messaging and mail is nice though I have not yet configured the mail account onboard. Gmail app is built in by default
The phone automatically turns to landscape mode when tilted horizontally like a Iphone/N97
Tons of apps available on getjar.com website. The phone uses java for applications. Download nad install using the software provided by Samsung or else just use the onboard browser to download apps directly
The phone has Edge/GPRS/3G abilities so is well equipped for speed.
Im yet to find major faults with the phone will update you. I dont have blue and me on my car so cant say anything on bluetooth connectiviy otherwise
