I purchased this item while on vacation with a friend. We both used it the same night we bought it because we were excited to see the results. It claims to be a leave in conditioner that will put highlights in your hair after approximately 2 weeks of use.
Salon Selectives Lighten Up comes in 3 different shades. There is Blonde, Light Brown and Dark Brown. You are supposed to pick the shade that most closely matches your natural hair color and it will bring out your natural highlights.
The product is in mousse form. It is very easy to use, just push down on the applicator and dispense the product onto your hand and apply to your hair wherever you would like the highlights.
After you reach the desired level of highlights you want you stop using the product until the highlights need to be touched up. Now, this concept is great. But, in my opinion, it does not follow through with what it promises.
It is easy to use, the scent of this product is the standard scent for Salon Selectives products. I have been using this product every time I washed my hair for 3 weeks now and have not noticed any difference in my hair color. In my opinion, it does not do much for conditioning my hair either. It did not weigh down my hair but it did not feel like it had been conditioned.
I would not recommend this product. It does not do what it claims to do. Just a waste of everyone's hard earned money!
