Recently over the past few weeks, i've been feeling really down, for more info check out my review on Twenty Most Tragic Songs. Anyway, through all of this time, I lost a lot of my life. I got caught up in something I shouldn't have got myself into. I rushed into things. I trusted too easily. Whats mooching about in the house going to do? So I stepped out one day....and realised again....I'M STILL REALLY YOUNG! I should be out with all the people my age, drinkin, having fun, doin mauj masti etc. etc. What have I got myself caught up in? I'll only get a change to be young once. Everyday of your youth is still very precious!
I can't believe I had completely forgotten my youth! Maybe it was when I was sittin at home listenin to all the Waqt Ne Kiya and Hum Bewafa's, I lost my youth there. Was thinking, for gods sake, i'm only 20, and I already think my life's over!!
Worked on it in the past few days, and i'm really feeling back into it. Add to that, I wanted a soundtrack which was fresh, young and youthful. So I check out Salaam Namaste!. Here's my verdict! -

Track 1 - Salaam Namaste

The title track of this film is good. Its a nice track with a good beat. Kunal Ganjawala sings really well. His voice gives the song life. He was ably accompanied by Vasundhara Das, who we last really heard in It's The Time To Disco. The lyrics are nice - my favourite line would have to be aa milja fir gale.....haste.....! Its a great track to listen to anytime!

Track 2 - My Dil Goes Hmmm.....

Truthfully, the first time I heard this song I didn't like it. But after I listened to it again and again, it really got to me. I really love this song! The boy and girl are talking about each other's weaknesses, and stupid things they do. Shaan sings this song really brilliantly, and is surprisingly given stunning support by Gayatri Iyer who sounds great. The Hmmm bit is really catchy!

Ok, guys who has seen this song, you must love the stupid steps they do. Another fun song, one for easy listening. It doesn't really serve any purpose on its own, a situational song. Just one to bung on the CD Player. Kunal Ganjawala sounds great again! Sunidhi Chauhan sounds nice too. Another fun argumentative song you should listen to in any mood!

The only slow song on the album, but one of the best. Sonu Nigam sounds beautiful in this song, and the few lines that Mahalaxmi does sing are great. Reminds me a bit of Chup Chup Ke from Bunty Aur Babli, but its still a nice song. I love the lyrics of the song....i go where you go....i'll go with you like your sky..... This is a really emotional song and you can hear Sonu's feelings through his vocals!

An absolutely rocking remix by DJ Aqeel, this English song is great! The lyrics are cool but most of all I love the beat! Shaan and Caralisa Monteiro sound great. The best thing about this song is the beat!

The people I have mentioned above are true gems of the Earth, who have played a significant part of me getting to my feet. I dunno what I would have done without them! I love them all to bits and thank them from the bottom of my heart! I found it amazing that the words and advice of people you've never met can be more powerful and thoughtful than those you've know a long time! Hope I can be there for them in a situation like this - actually I hope a situation like this never arises in their life! Thank you!
