I don't know if there is a point giving this feedback now coz nothing in the world can bring my father... But I'm writing so I can at least help others...

My father was diagnosed with lung fibrosis in 2021, when he got a minor cough, we admitted him in Sakra few months back and Dr. Ajay Handa was treating him, I have never seen a more insensitive doctor than him...he told my dad there is left heart failure...who tells such thing in front of a patient..3 days later we got discharged, while checking the bill we saw that they have charged for 24 sessions of nebulization whereas my dad got only 9!!! We brought this up but they did not change the bill instead said they will check from their end... When we went for a follow-up visit, Dr. Ajay apologised on their behalf unwillingly but was sooo pissed off that we brought it up that when we asked him that in case of emergency can we call him, he said he will delete our number and we should not contact him..We are not dealing with any regular cough or cold but a chronic illness but who cares...he is not doing service, he is running a business...

Suddenly on 5th March my dad again got cough and we tried to get his appointment but he postponed it as he was not available (does he not know that a simple cough can cause a huge issue for a lung fibrosis patient?) on 7th March we got his appointment and he asked us to admit him immediately. He had mentioned to take RTPCR in his prescription.

Once we reached hospital, they checked that my dad's bp was low (88/67)and told that he might need ICU but within half n hour they mentioned ward should be ok as he is stabilising. We were waiting for the ward allocation that suddenly they said he needs to move to ICU. Till now no RTPCR done.

Next day they said he seems fine...his chest CT indicates that fibrosis has not increased and he should be fine in 4-5 days (no RTPCR). 3rd day all of a sudden in the afternoon they mentioned he might need ventilator and we fought and said he seems fine and wouldn't need a ventilator. Evening 9th March they got the RTPCR result to be positive. My mom, husband, mother-in-law and I ( along with 2 kids under 5) all are negative which means he got covid in the hospital. Lung fibrosis patient must be treated with utmost care but coz of their carelessness he got covid in ICU. They moved him to ER ICU which is general covid isolation ward. The AC was on in that room and he was kept with 3 other covid patients, my dad was tested for covid 9-10 times post that and everytime it came positive.

18 days in ICU with two death beside him coz of covid, inspite of multiple requests they didn't move him to a separate ward coz they don't have the facility. 24th March night at 10 his oxygen and pulse were absolutely normal (pic attached) 25th March since morning he was uncomfortable coz of the new machine they were trying on him. 25th afternoon he complained of gas in the stomach and when we asked for enema, they refused saying he might get very weak, they did a chest x-ray and the doctor in emergency mentioned it's the same as previous and nothing has changed or increased, around 6 in the evening while changing the oxygen mask from one machine to another he collapsed, then they put him on ventilator and he passed away at 8:16 pm.

A person who was absolutely fine with oxygen support and this kind of spo2 and pulse the previous day suddenly passed away the next day. When you do not have the facility to take care of patients with IPF then please don't get them admitted. Why wasn't the RTPCR done on first day, how can you keep a person with lung fibrosis along with other covid patients, how a person's case be good on 2nd day but on 3rd day they suggest ventilator, how can Dr Ajay be so rude, insensitive and careless in handling such critical case, how can a person have oxygen at 99 previous day and pass away the next day, Will the answer to all this bring my father back?!!! NO!!!
