I used to regularly watch the TV serial Sai Bhaktonki Sachchi Kahaniyan(abbreviated as SBSK henceforth) in the period 2005-2006. Aushim Kshetrapal, who is an ardent devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba, is the man behind this creation. He has also produced a movie ‘Shirdi Sai Baba’ in the year 2001, which was also pretty good.
SBSK is based on true, real life events/miracles that happened in the life of various Shirdi Sai Baba devotees in the recent decades, i-e, from 70s to 2000s. SBSK episodes are a strong testimony to the fact that Shirdi Sai Baba is actively working for the welfare and upliftment of His devotees, and answers their prayers even today, exactly as promised by Him before He took Mahasamadhi.
I have been really amazed and fascinated by this TV serial which is my personal favourite TV program of all times, even above Ramayan, Mahabharata, Chanakya etc.(The only other program that comes close is of course ‘Mann Mein Hai Vishwas’). Why? This is because SBSK has benefited, guided and influenced me a lot in my real personal life far more than any other TV program or movie in the whole world. I have learnt a lot from this great program. It has answered a lot of my spiritual queries that I had in my mind. It has taught me how spirituality really works even in the most challenging and difficult situations in real life. It has kept my faith alive in religion and spirituality. SBSK is like a treasure-trove for the seekers of spirituality and religious-minded. The way Shirdi Sai baba is creating miracles in the lives of His lives even today is absolutely stunning and spellbinding.
Aushim Kshetrapal has done a very noble task of creating such a program. He has done a great service to humanity! It just shows how great a Sai devotee he is. He had once said in an interview that once he got a dream in which Shirdi Sai Baba appeared to Him and commanded him to make such a program and that’s why the idea of producing this TV serial came to his mind and he therefore executed His plan. Thus Aushim Kshetrapal was merely an instrument and the real work was done by Shirdi Sai Baba Himself!
So it is not a big surprise that this TV serial is my all-time favorite since Shirdi Sai Baba has Himself created it!
