One thing that comes out quite explicitly of Sachin?s game these days, since he gained his so called ?Maturity?, is his inability in wining one day matches. He seems to have totally changed his outlook, and the way he used to play. He took the wind out of the opposition every time he came down in the center.
He must realize that what his ability was. It was taking risk early on and beat the hell out of the opposition, and what it did was that the bowler?s line and length all got haywire and opposition got so demoralized that even if he got out, even those dumb batsmen of those times played the opposition easily. He seems to have cut down on his powerful cuts and pulls, so that he stays there for a longer time but he must understand that even if he stays there for a longer time, he can not win us matches that way, and those not so talented bowlers sits on his head. Sachin needs to play even a more risky game as now as there are Batsmen who are capable of wining matches even if he gets out, he must play like a care free bird like he used to play earlier on as it?s the best way he knows, and his game also improves when he does that.
One thing that he needs to do is STAY AWAY FROM Mr. SUNIL GAWASKAR, as he used to criticize two three years ago, the way Sachin used to play, taking those risks in those days, and as Sachin is very close to him he, I am more than hundred percent sure, that he was influenced by his observations. People said Sachin plays selfish game and he does not play for the team. Kindly realize that every batsman, even Sachin for that matter, has a natural way of playing the game and they should not disturb or mold their game as your natural game is your best game. Other thing that Sachin needs to realize that he won matches with his flamboyant style and those thirteen thousand runs and thirty seven centuries came through that kind of game.
Anuj_bhatnagar22 says, that Sachin never won India a one day match; I must kindly articulate to him that his eighty percent of those centuries were instrumental in winning India a match, and these are facts that anyone can check. As far as chasing runs is concerned, people should know that he opens the innings and please now go and check in cricket history books how many Batsmen have actually carried their bat in this span of thirty years of one day cricket. Playing a blistering inning early on, making a century and then getting out before the Indian inning is over, does not take in any way the credit away from him, especially when India wins. And if he does not win matches than kindly go again and check, that how many ?MAN OF THE MATCH? he has got, and as you know that man of the match title normally goes to the winning team, I think he must have done something for the team if he has got that many.
Please friend don?t boo him if he is not performing right now to the best of his potential, as he will realize soon what is going wrong and he will sort it out, I think its just a matter of changing his game plan and we again will see him beating the hell out of Brett Lees and Shoeb Akhtars.
