Sa Re Ga Ma Pa - a singing talent show was started on Zee TV more than a decade ago then hosted by Sonu Nigam. The show initially started in Hindi soon found takers in Marathi.If anyone of you has not been watching this show "Little champs' on Zee Marathi channel(Mondays and Tuesdays night 9:30pm), then you don't know what you are missing. You don't know, what you have missed as well. You of course have chance to see few videos uploaded on net - youtube.com.
The show is hosted by Ms. Pallavi Joshi - very talented actress also director of marathi TV serials and a good anchor too. As a host of'little champs' she motivates the little contestants so well - as if being their lovable aunty or mother. Especialy when a contestant loses out, the way she consoles him/her is really great.The judges - very talented Ms. Vaishali Samant and Mr. Avdhut Gupte - too become very friendly while talking to the kids, so that they do not feel any pressure or burden of performing.
Hats off!The way these judges give guidance to the kids, what needs to improve, how to improve etc. is so down to earth.Every tuesday, a well-known personality is invited and celebrity judge. Very senior and respected people from music fraternity have been there e.g. Pt. Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Usha Mangeshkar, Shankar Mahadevan, Sachin, Shridhar Phadke, Suresh Wadkar to name a few.The way these celebrity judges express their opinion, share their experience and memories is simply divine. No show-off, no egos - only pure music.
The show has now reached its final stage. Out of 50 contestants now only last 6 are competing for title, but you hardly see any rivalary in them. They are so friendly and close to each other.Really speaking, this show can really show other music reality shows, what a real talent show is.What I don't like is that the dependency on SMS votes from public. Such singing talents should be left only to the competent judges for judging.For your own sake, don't miss it.
