It is one of the best movies of all time as comparing through it genre. The lead, the director, the story to screenplay and to the dialogues. The director Brett Ratner has done his job in his own unique and fun way and has absolutely nailed it. The cinematography of the movie is very amazing and the way they have introduced each and every characters. All of these components amalgamation has lead to build this crazy and cult classic movie of its time. And even today if recommend this any of your friend, he/she wont be disappointed about the movie.
The duo of Jackie Chan(Lee) and Chris Tucker(Carter) a Chinese and an American guy who came across their way. The interested part is that when we see into their life's in the movie they both belongs to not only from different country or regions but they also are a very different person. Both of has very contrast approach to solve the problems. And at any given point in the movie they are happened to be in a great problem.
The Chris tucker's character is a very full of youth and aggressive but does not had that quick thinking and effective problem solving approach. At times he is the source of the problems they had to deal with. The Carter is also a Casanova who is always around girls and due to which he, many a times gets distracted from his aim to solve the problem. Many times in the movie Carter has lost Lee and went all paralyzed in order to how to search for Lee and then solve a problem. They both are government employees one(Jackie Chan) was associated with Police of China and(Chris Trucker) was related to FBI and both of them are are Detectives in their organization.
Chris Trucker being a Detective stays very'wanna be smart' kind of guy but fails to deliver and on the other hand Jackie Chan stays calm and collected throughout the movie and drives the plot. So its a little one two kind of coordination between the Two.
This duo of Chris and Jackie been better than ever since their appearance in Lethal Weapon. Chris has always been my if not favorite then one the favorite comedian from American Cinema. He has never disappoint me in any course of judgements be it his facial expressions or dialogue delivery.
There is a reason that even after these many decades of launching this movie I am writing a review. As I have already said that this movie is a big cult Classics of all time and has a lot of fans around the world. I recently came across this movie on my dashboard of Netflix and I got really driven by the poster and an impulsive nostalgia hit me. I started watching from the part 1 and watched both the parts along the way. It was just as funny as it was when I saw it ten years ago. I thought that this movie now fading away in the sands of time so must make people aware that there is a hidden gem under.
The movie's plot is very catchy and movie is a bit short but loaded with Action Comedy and little bit of Drama as well. There are no nudity elements(at least in the part one) but the movie has some of the violence and gore bits which makes it a eighteen plus marked movie.
But if you are an adult there is no issue for you to watch the movie.
I have found that if you skip any of the parts and watch the next part then you will have some difficulty in catching up with the movie plot. I would recommend that you should start from the first part and the next parts will get funnier and funnier and the story will get interesting.
At last I would like to say that if you are exploring the genre of Comedy And Action this movie should be your first watch. And I am sure you will not get disappointed.
