Basic Cruiser Bike which caters to your need for making a style statement ( read Macho) , comfortable long distance tours and owning a modern, yet iconic machine. Shell out approx 1.5 lac Rs ( ex showroom, Mumbai) and start showing off right away ( though there is a waiting period of 3-6 months. which varies from dealer to dealer. and yet delivery can be arranged sooner by most dealers if you are ready to put in few extra bucks)
Riding position will take some time to get used to particularly if you are accustomed to riding commuter bikes before. But once your hand sets in, you'll appriciate the riding comfort even when cruising on city highways.
Yes the bike is heavy but you'll master the trick soon. its to be kept as perpendicular to the road as possible particularly while waiting for the signal to turn green, even the slightest tilt on the side while waiting on the road could be a strain on your legs.
It is not a racing bike so hitting 0 to 80 will not be a quick affair, but once you touch 80, you'll realise the stabilty the bike offers even at high speeds. 80 becomes the new 40 and you are never short of an additional gear when you rev up the engine and cruise at 100-110.
Sure feels like King of the road riding the Rugged Bull when u cruise steadily at 80-100. leaving behind all other bikes and cars. and taking along looks of envy and glances of admiration. ( 1.5 lacs well spent )
All pros will sure have some cons and being mentally ready to face them leaves you less disappointed.
Clutch wire will give way within 2 months of getting your new bike.
Oil leakage and seepage is something your mechanic will soon give up on.
Chrome plating is not of expected quality and digital fuel gauge will disappoint you soon.
Service centre will be a pathetic experience and u'll feel they just wash and grease the bike in free service. Your mechanical knowledge about bikes and spares will increase 10 times going through various forums and discussions on common problems faced by owners.
Personal interest in cleaning and shining the bike and looking after general maintenance will go a long way in keeping the bike in good condition for a longer duration. A good local mechanic will soon become your best buddy.
Fuel tank promised is 20 ltrs but fills up to the brim much sooner. Bike will return an average of 28-30 with a mix riding on city and highway.
