If you are considering buying a Reliance Netconnect Broadband card because of the high speed it offers..I have simple advise for you - DON'T. They don't have 1x cards anymore - so IF you are buying a reliance card that's the only type that you can anyway.
Initially when launched - it worked at promised speed. For the last 6 months however its worked only at 1x speed. Reliance says that it due to a network glitch across all areas that they have been working on to fix for many months and will be "solved" in an indefinite time-frame.
I don't see why they would choose to fix their own scam...sell high speed data cards with high data usage plans and then have no speed to support that level of data usage!
The fine print:- "Guaranteed" 256 kbps speed. Based on "feasability"- If a day session continues into the night charge period of 10 PM - 6 PM it will be considered a day session regardless and vice versa. SO...effectively if you have a high level night plan which they keep advocating, you'd still be charged day plan charges unless you disconnect at 10 and start again?
And technically speaking if you start before 6 AM you can be on night charge all day...BUT....all Reliance Datacards automatically disconnect every hour or so throughout the day byt NOT at night!
I can't say that other netcard providers may be better - but I expect they may be more honest at least!
