Hello!
This's coming from someone that has used Reliance over years and was blind or was fancying myself with the fake info about other networks. I used Reliance CDMA and GSM number for almost a decade but had countless issues with them. I had to deal with their messy services because I bought many numbers at once and can't switch operator due to business reasons and user base. Since portability is introduced not very long in India.
Issue start from their bad customer care support. They from start distributed massive numbers without even thinking how they'll go to provide the need support to people in case of problem. You had to wait countlessly and even after informing your problem the 3-7 K salaried representative only just speaks what they're taught to us by their leads that in background shout at the representatives for taking too much time for being on phone and not ending it fast. This's obnoxious really! Representatives with time became more and more rude and they even insult you and are not threatened at all that they might land-up in trouble for using insulting customers. Reliance's a total mess. They've bad network coverage. Often start and deducted money from your prepaid balance for service that you never know how to operate or enrolled. Even when you dial-in their support number you get automatically disconnected because the system which handles the calling queue is overloaded. Reliance I think thought before starting the Telecom business that it's totally automatic. It's like a Corporate MTNL or BSNL network which in every sense means that every time you had a problem you feel terrible.
They're ultimate Cheater! Once I was in rush to catch a train and I didn't had internet pack. As per tariff I thought even without that I would be charged max of 20-30 INR to surf and check the platform number of train. I surfed for less then 4 minutes and consumed data in KB but Reliance grab all the 500 odd INR that was in account.
Signal strength is very poor. I often go across and I find that signal strength are poor in major cities too. Mumbai, Pune has the best signals apart from that I experienced issues with Reliance wherever I go.
Cheating in billing too. They often charge you with late fees even when you pay in time. This's super bad because if you have some business you might not have time to check all details in every bill that you get. Reliance understand it more than anyone I guess. They made me to check their bill everytime. They mess up internet usage charge by wrongly summing up the data consumed and hence charging you over.
Only reason I had to stick with them for so long was that I distributed my number to my clients and to redistribute new number since portability wasn't there. I would highly recommend to avoid going for Reliance network even if you find plans attractive. They're very bad at higher level too. Their Apex Authority to escalate issues if your complaints are not taken up is super bad. You might feel that who to talk when you want to escalate about them too.
Please never waste your time and money on Reliance. You might have Blood Pressure issues after using their network!
