Reliance India Mobile- man!it has made an impact before starting ops.the announcement has done wonders for the public. just see the rkns of mobile players, wwl bigwigs n u'll know RIM is here to stay. the company, as usual is coming big with price and promotion strategy.
So u thought, pricing strategy is an outdated tool for selling life style products!!! RIM may just change the class and category of the product. mobile will now be a household or utility product. GSM will be retained by pretty less people unless they tighten their belt to face 'his war.
The data access facility and free internet and video conferencing - a revolution yaar! we are going to witness a new india, my frnd. this service will enhance the education and information sytandard of village and sub urban India.
Metroites,beware! for the first time in the history of globalised India, u r going to face cometition, e real one.rural india and educational institutes badly lack the exposure to economic world and trend setters. dirt cheap commu cost will just make sure that a person in Gumla in Jharkhand is updated of the latest ABC. No matter, the newspaper still reaches them at 4 pm and there is no national newspaper available until 4 pm next day.
sure! roaming facility will b lacking with RIM but tech is not at fault and the same will be allowed even to wll say in 3-4 yrs time.(need any proof of Reliance influencing govt. policies!)
Though the service is yet to start , I rank it at awesome 4 just because of the impact it is going to make on Indian economy and future.
