Using reliance mobile connection and data cards for more than 5 years. Attracted by good roaming, unlimited, easy to use online bill payment, good customer service, perfect billing, excellent customer service, slightly affected by restrictions on CDMA handsets but later moved to GSM, reasonable charges, reasonable connectivity(at least most of the highways), gentle payment reminders. Great all made me to have more 10 connections with the mix of mobile and datacard. We recommended them to several of our friends to avail their service. Sadly all this completely changed in the last one year.
Once again their very famous wrong billing of reliance surfaced
Charging for internet charges when the SIM is totally not in use
Message packs are added with no request from customer
Doubling the missed call alert charges without informing the customer
Adding unknown services(even webworld people unable to understand what it is)
Lots of sudden call drops even at residence or office
Wrong billing continued in spite of several complaints for last 6 months
Website will not work on the last date of payment(so that they can charge late fee)
Web usage reports shows even for unused SIM
New connections will be disconnected if no call is made within 3 days of connection
No information or refunds will be provided for the disconnected connections
CUG charges which the customer never asked for
Receive several calls for onsite payment collection(agents get fee for it)
Several calls to confirm the payment made(can't they check their system?)
Several calls "when are you making your payment" when it is already paid on time
Appellate sends simple copy pasted replies "unable to reach you in reliance number"
Web world never gives service request acknowledgement
Customer service call center never sends service request acknowledgement
Now even number porting request never works, SMS replied with error message
Still struggling to stop wrong charges on my multiple connections. Pathetic part is unfortunately we selected them for our corporate connection as well. We are just waiting for the appellate process to complete to proceed with legal actions for their unethical trade practices and intentional wrong billing.
Not sure who took charge of the customer service a year back, everything including quality and ethics are totally gone and it is being taking reliance communications to its own down fall. Better to stay away from this service provider at least for now!
