After using MTNL Broadband I switched over a few months back to Reliance Broad band. MTNL was allright but lacking personal touch and if and when you had a problem you had to wait it out for anyone to appear. Customer service is as good as being not there. So while switching over to a private service provider that too a company like reliance one expected a much better service. However I was disappointed. The service while better than MTNL obviously is still not upto the mark. I think the internet services in India are yet to take off smoothly. Despite such a growth in the customer base I think the service providers are yet to straighten up their act. I have opted for the 24 hrs 75 kbps plan for a fixed rental of Rs. 400.00 per month.
There are other plans too based on the speed and usage. Since I am a casual user I did not go in for higher speed. Though I regret now. There are times when the speed is very slow. I think there is a variation in speed through the day. Also there are connectivity problems quite frequently leaving you frustrated. Customer care is sloppy. You have to first call the helpline and they redirect your complaint to customer care of your area which is franchised and the response is slow. For those of us who are regular users this can be quite frustrating. While choosing the plan one should do a thorough homework. Though you can change your plan anytime. You have to pay Rs.500.00 as installation charges. Keeping in view the overall internet services in the country I would say Reliance Broadband is not a bad option but the services can be improved
