Booked 2 tickets in redbus from cochin to bangalore on 29-01-2017 7:40 PM suresh kallada. Reporting time is 7:25 PM. and departure is 7:40 PM from Palarivattom byepass.
Was travelling with my spouse. I was waiting from 5:30 PM for message from redbus indicating my bus no. and driver. Time was around 7:40 PM still I didn't receive any message or any call.Then I called redbus customer care(For making calls to customer care also they charge) and informed the case and the redbus guy told that he will enquire and inform. It costed INR 12 for calling red bus. 25mins passed. No call. No message. Again I called red bus and explained the case(25 INR wasted for putting the call in hold for almost 20 mins). Atlast he gave a number telling that "he is the kallada travels guy you call him.". Called that number explained the case. That guy told only one word "(This is chenai offc.).
I had only 200INR in my pocket. and 20% chrg in my mob. Almost 9:30. Kept calling redbus. They kept speaking to their supervisors and kallada travels. Finaly by 10:30 PM redbus told me to "arange an alt bus and travel to blr and they will look in to the issue." When I asked for refund amount they told "I can't assure it unless my backend team confirms". I argued with them, "I have only 200INR and I'm very new to kerala. I don't find any ATM near by. How come I can arange alt. they again repeated the same." somehow you find alternative." Then somehow I managed to find contact in chennai kallada travels. He promised to find alt bus. I was waiting for that bus till 11:20 PM. kallada bus came. And the driver told "you are 2. the chennai guy told only 1 ticket. I cannot afford to take you all. To arange 2 seats pay 1600INR or else you have to getdown.".
I tried calling the chennai guy but his mob was swtchd off. I din't have any other opt so I shoutd at driver "Its almost 11:30PM where I will find bus in here" and asked him to drop any plc near by wher I wil find bus. He dropped us in the nxt stop from Palarivattom byepass(near CITY SILKS and asked to take bus to palakad and from there goto blr. When I got down from that bus, Redbus backnd called me and again told the same alternative(Get another bus and we will take severe action against that bus operator, refund process will be initiated). I got money from ATM as I saw one and I was waiting for pallakaad bus till 1:00 AM. Good hearted soul(Mr. Sonu) standing near by helped me to get bus to Thrissur. I was then waiting for Palakad/cbe(My plan was to take bus to salem(Since its my hometown) and start to blr the next day) bus in thirssur till 4:30 AM in the morning. Reached salem 30-01-2017 11AM.
my entire trip and more than that all we got was sick n lost my hard earned penny. And Now REDBUS refunds 2600 INR(the actual fare was 2639 INR+ recharged my mobile more than 3 times for 1ly listening to redbus on-hold music.). Are you guys trying to be more humble paying charity.
NOTE: I have cut short my feedback otherwise all my space would have filled with most heartless words.(Other readers., Please bare with me. Sorry about that). Just imagine yourself waiting for a bus close to 8 hours with your wife. This forced me to write a review like this.
Worst on call service support/assistance. If there were a slipper being displayed instead of stars I would have voted more for REDBUS and KALLADA.
