Red Rose Hotel is located in Dakshineshwar, one of the very famous region of Kolkata. Dakshineshwar is known for the highly visited Kali Mandir, which is a major tourist attraction in the region. Red Rose hotel stands high at a few hundred metres away from the main temple.
My family had visited Dakshineshwar late into the 2015’s and we booked this hotel for a two night stay. This is one of the most booked hotel in the region owing to its brilliant hostility and well decorated ambience. Talking about the facilities of the hotel,
Appearance and Location – Red Rose Hotel stands for a five storey large building to the west of Dakshineshwar. The hotel sports a mild appearance and encompasses a beautiful mini garden within. The major attraction is the giant fish aquarium in the lobby of the hotel which show cases some of the best collection of fishes. I was highly fascinated by the fishes which were of all sorts of colour. Location wise, the hotel is ideally located near the temple. The Dakshineshwar temple is at a walking distance from the temple and so is the Ganga ghat. View from the hotel gives a clear sight of the holy temple and at night, it is a pleasure to watch the scenic beauty.
Rooms and Room Service – Red Rose Hotel comes with two options for room booking – AC rooms and Non-AC rooms. The AC rooms charge around Rs.1500-Rs.2000 per night and the Non-AC rooms are much cheaper costing only Rs.600 per night. We booked two Non-AC rooms for two nights. The rooms in the hotel are of average size and compatible for a group of three only. However, the rooms are well maintained and cleanly kempt. Besides, every room is provided with a fresh pair of bedsheets, towels, and a television set for entertainment purposes. Room Service of Red Rose Hotel is very pleasing. The room service guys occasionally pop up to enquire about the customer’s needs. They are very friendly and relatable.
Cleanliness and Hygiene – One major setback about booking a hotel is that you never know how hygienic and clean they might be. Well, in case of the Red Rose Hotel, we were completely satisfied. Every morning, around 9 AM, a maid would arrive who would clean the room and bathrooms perfectly. Talking about the bathroom, it is a tiled small room of four walls that includes and attached toilet and shower. The bathrooms are hygienic and clean which is a very compulsory factor for my family. Not just rooms, the entire hotel is well maintained and swept periodically to avoid dirtiness.
Staffs and Management – Red Rose Hotel staffs are very friendly. Some of them even exchanged numbers with my father so as to have any future booking with them. They treat everyone cordially and the manager, who is an ever-smiling person, is a very noble man in terms of behaviour and personally looks forward to the customer’s needs and complaints.
Fooding Facility – Red Rose Hotel also has its own fooding arrangement, though we did not like the quality of the food and preferred eating in an outside restaurant. The hotel provides menus ranging from wide variety. But I would recommend people staying here to eat outside as the food outside is cheaper and tastier.
Overall Rating – Red Rose hotel is a perfect hotel for family and friends. The hotel provides basic amenities at a superior service. Though the price range is a little high, but compared to the location and facilities provided, its worth the price. I recommend this hotel strongly to anyone visiting Dakshineshwar.
