For GOD sake - Write Well & Read More. Review on Reading Reviews on MouthShut

It may look awkward that Writing Review are merged with Reading Review. It is not illogical because I feel to write well one needs to read well.

I feel now a days MS is not the same it used to be. I am not very old at MS but I had check many old reviews of good writers. I may not have RRCed those but I have read many reviews. What I observed many things happening in last 30-40 days. There are flurry of reviews but no real good reviews. There are very few of those.

My observations are:

1. Too many people have joined MS and they are writing, writing and just writing. No reading

   
   




2. Readers are there, but Good and Honest Readers have left. Very low RRC proves that.

   
   




3. Whatever RRC you find, part of that are done under some sort of obligation with fellow members. You have done my RRC, I will do for you.

   
   




4. When all write a review, they hopes that people shall read and give their feedback on it but that's not happening often as writers also not reading reviews.

   
   




5. Many people I found putting 2 - 3 - 4 reviews at a time. Is it good.

   
   




6. Many reviews we found are just crap(sorry for using this word).

   
   




7. Many reviews are useless stuff like I had a problem with this service provider, it is not good bla bla bla. Is MS is a place to take out personal frustration?

   
   




8. RRC is just like attendance, Someone writes a review, we mark attendance without paying attention to the review.

   
   




9. Normal trend - Read the review, rate it VU, go to comments, say ’Great review’ and that's it!

   
   




10. People also afraid to put criticism also. There is not even constructive criticism. There are many revenges on MS(of course with fake IDs)

    
    




11. People are just writing reviews and posting it here and there in random just thinking MS is a storage space for all reviews.

    
    




12. MS is promoting of some idiotic stuff, check the topics of Review. Many topics are useless and only 1-2 reviews can be found.

    
    

My thoughts:

1. Anyone can become a good writer, he has to first do R & D on topic, put in thought together, be honest and sincere

   
   




2. Language skills are must. Make sure English is good for all MSians

   
   




3. Be sincere & honest with your thoughts even if it may not be the most popular opinion around.

   
   




4. Reading is also an art, I feel one can't write well unless he / she reads well.

   
   




5. Each one of us writing is having a moral responsibility to read and put comments on other's review.

   
   




6. Reading requires more talent as it is difficult to understand other people's thoughts rather than putting our own thoughts.

   
   




7. We shall read twice than what we write: we have 2 ears and 1 mouth. Shakespeare also says ’’Give every man thy ear but few thy tongue’’

   
   




8. Think what is the purpose of writing? does any one bothers about that? If you feel yes then write else first do RRC.

   
   




9. Many people says that existing members shall welcome new comers but let me know does new comers greets existing members?

   
   




10. why such things are happens? Probably because we, the Members have promoted such trash.

    
    

My Suggestions to MS:

1. Restrict no reviews for initial 10 days after being members

   
   




2. Random checking of members, document check, telephone check etc.

   
   




3. only 2 reviews per 15 days for 1st month, 3 reviews for 15 days in 2nd month to make new members read more

   
   




4. 25 RRC per review compulsory for first month. 20 RRC per review Compulsory for next month and 15 RRC per review compulsory in 3rd month to promote reading

   
   




5. Compulsory comments for VU rating.
