There are very few things around that connect my granny, my parents and me and get us on one wavelength. I mean, the material things in the world that we inadvertently add to our cart of likes and separate them from the dislikes. The ones like love and affection go without saying. We differ in choice of music(obviously), books, viewing TV programs, eating habits.. ….. I could go on, but there are few things that bring us together. For instance when I have an argument with my parents, it is my granny and me who have the similar stand!
More importantly, I am referring to a magazine that has consistently, successfully retained the loyal readership of three generations in our family. Well, not only my family, but hundreds of other families as well, worldwide. I am speaking of the “Reader’s Digest” wow - what a magazine. Each edition can be treasured. They speak of love, fights and most of all tragedies and how people live through trying times. It is very emboldening and stays with you giving you strength in times of trouble.
