Do not invite this panauti called RCM:
We booked their service by calling on the morning of Oct 7th, 2020 to move our stuff from Bangalore to Mangalore for a fixed price of 15000INR and Mr. Mahaveer Chaudhary (proprietor of RCM, +91994097xxxx) agreed to settle for this amount inclusive of all fees without hassle. Their truck(Reg: HR 55 AF 1896) arrived in the late afternoon and loading went on up to 9 pm that night. Throughout the loading, Mr. Mahaveer assured us by a call that they would start moving our things that night itself and we can pay the amount once we receive all our goods. But once the truck was loaded all our problems began. The driver demanded a tip of 1000INR and we ended up paying him 500. After that, when we called Mr. Mahaveer he suddenly demanded we pay 27000INR for the entire move. He said that this was towards insurance and other fees. (In reality, this is a fraud scheme to milk out more money)
Note: This is their modus operandi: RCM Takes your goods hostage and then makes you pay extra for releasing your own goods.
That night they took our goods to their Godown which was against our initial deal to take it to Mangalore that night itself. The next morning we were forced to make an advance payment of 13000 INR. Mr. Mahaveer and his accomplices were extremely Verbally abusive on the phone during these times and also told several lies n half-truths. Skipping forward to October 9th my family was in Mangalore anxiously awaiting the arrival of our goods. That morning we got in touch with the person who was supposedly the driver of the truck and he said that he was halfway near Mangalore but that he would take our goods back to Bangalore since his owner had not paid him 10000INR from a previous job deal. After much back and forth we ended up paying another person Mr. Rupesh Sheoran(+91967172xxxx) 6000 rupees by Google pay as the driver demanded. At this moment we were simply complying with their demands as we were mentally and emotionally exhausted. Even My mother extremely sad and anxious. As soon as we paid 6K they immediately released our goods and the truck that arrived was completely different and the company that brought in our goods was a local one. This indicated that Mahaveer was lying about our goods being halfway near Mangalore from blore and that the drama with the driver was simply a ruse to extort more money from us.
We also noticed that a few of our boxes were opened and some loose items were missing.
So in short: NEVER HIRE RCM COMPANY. They are fraudulent thieves operating under the guise of a legitimate business. Save yourselves!
