An easy solution to get anywhere quickly. Review on Rapido

I have experienced almost all the types of taxi services and all of them were car taxi services. The problem with car taxi services is that, although we can book a car taxi just to travel a km and half or two but we do not want to do so because we think that the car will take more time to come and it will drop us to our destination in more time. Car taxies usually have to deal with traffic a lot but they are more comfortable and on the other hand they proof to be a lot more costlier.

When Rapido came with concept of bike taxi it has given a new edge to the e-taxi services in India and also to the auto rickshaws.

These bike taxies are so much efficient in travelling for small distances within the city like 1km-4km. The arrival time of your taxi is very very less as compare to a car or a rickshaw. As it is a bike the rider can easily maneuver through the traffic and you can beat the traffic in no time and hence your time to reach your destination becomes very less.

What I have also experienced with Rapido is that it charges a a lot less especially when you want to go on small distances like 1-3km distances. The city where I live the rickshaw meter starts at 22rs and then it charges over.

Let me show you an example: If I take a rickshaw from my work-place to the nearby railway station, which is approximately 2 km away, a rickshaw will take 35rs but when I booked a Rapido they charged around 24rs for the same trip and I reached the destination earlier than usual.

The riders of Rapido are very good in nature and co-operative and I never had any problem or difficulties while call them to where I have selected my location at. The always come on time but times they do misses out a turn.

One big issue that I have encountered with the Rapido services app is that it doesn't take the exact location even when I give them the permission to get the precise location from my GPS. This small problem, sometimes creates a big mess. It miss guides the rider to the wrong spot and then I have to go there or if that place is very far away then he has to come to my location. And the worst part is I have to guide him to my location orally.

This process cause inconvenience to both the rider and the person who has booked the tickets.

Sometimes when I does not use the app for a long time it logs me out and when I tries to log in its Auto Detect OTP features stops working. And some times the OTP itself does not comes.

This has again caused me some inconvenience. This bug has made me late for one event also. So I think Rapido has to fix these two important bugs so that their customers doesn't get disappointed.

The Rapido is good for the boys as the riders are boys(at least what I have experienced is that all of the riders are boys). And even if there are some girl riders then I haven't came across any girl rider from Rapido.

As we all know that in India for a women it is really hard to trust any other man. And this policy of Rapido does not help women in India. I have read and heard many bad experiences if girls from Mouthshut.com and some of my friends respectively.

The Rapido services must be knowing the fact that how women users can get discouraged after experiencing or hearing about such stories.

I would recommend all the men to avail the services of the Rapido but women be very careful about your rides. The experiences I have read were very bad so if you are a girl please do go through the reviews on Mouthshut.com about the Rapido or just ask your friends about it and then take any decision.

And I hope Rapido will include/increase the number of women riders in their services. And they should also fix the bugs that I have reported.
