A R RAHMAN'S 40TH BIRTHDAY!!!!

Originality:

AR Rahman today stands tall and is undoubtedly a cut above the rest. The entertainment industry has got highest of regards for this musical prodigy who has single handedly changed the course of Indian film music. His music is listened throughout the length and breadth of this nation even though most of his work is in his native language Tamil.......

Rahman is known to be a committed and a thoroughly hard working professional. He is man of few words who lets his work do all the talking. After all the enviable success to his credit he still remains an utterly modest and down-to-earth human being who is most of the time shy and reclusive. But that’s how it is; that’s the stuff legends are made of. With his birthday on the 5th of JAN, I wish this enigmatic musician a happy birth anniversary.

Let his melodies continue to enthrall and entertain the audience for years and years to come and may his genius keep on shining in the endless galaxy of that wonderful gift called Music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As we all new his new album ''RANG DE BASANTI'' is already topping the charts....It is truly a youthful movie and ofcourse A R RAHMAN'S music fits perfect to the mood...For me this is a FEEL-GLUED album........

This album has total 10 songs.....all with different moods penned by PRASOON JOSHI..Let me express my thoughts on each of the songs..

1 >>>> RANG DE BASANTI

We are all familiar with Daler mehndi's TUNAK TUNA and BOLO TARA TARA but now his his DINGADING is truly getting infectious.Well even if chitra did not give her 100% Daler covers it all up and that too fabulously.....

2>>>>PAATHSHALA

This is totally a fun-school song as the title suggests..Or let us say its a youthful way of percieving the different ssubjects they study in school..New singing talents Naresh Iyer and Mohammad Islam make enough melodious noise to bring out the ''friends together'' feel... the song goes like....

''TALLI HO KAR GIRNE SE SAMJHI HAMNE GRAVITY.....

ISHQ KA PRACTICAL KIYA TAB AYI HAME CLARITY.........''

This song is also remixed with the voice of Blaaze.

3>>>>TU BIN BATAYE

It is a romantic-soothing song ...It is sung by Naresh iyer and Madhushree (who sung the song KABHI NEEM NEEM ....in YUVA)The best line of the song are...

''TU BIN BATAYE MUJHE LE CHAL VAHIN

JAHAN TU MUSKURAYE MERI MANZIL VAHIN......''

4>>>>KHOON CHALA

This song brews in blazing poetry and quiet drama. A controlled, powerful composition, expounded beautifully in Silk Route frontman Mohit Chauhan's commanding intensity. The best lines in this one are...

''KUCH KAR GUZARNE KO KHOONCHALA KHOONCHALA...

ANKHO KE SHISHE MEIN UTARNE KO KHOONCHALA...''

5>>>>KHALBALI

This is a song with an Arabian touch to it and ofcourse with the arabian lyrics penned by nacim.

6>>>>LUKKA CHHUPI

Now this ones my favorite song .This song is sung by none other than LATA MANGESHKAR and A R RAHMAN....This is a song depicts the most lovely bond between two people and that is the bond between a mother and her son....This song touched my heart by the lines that follows...

''TERI RAAH TAKE AAKHINYAAN

JAANE KAISA KAISA HOYE JIYA...''

7>>>>LALKAAR

Amir khan once again gives his voice for this song .This is a song to wake up the Indians as the GENERATION AWAKENS and wish to change their country...

8>>>>ROOBAROO

Finally, the verve in Rahman and Iyer's voices, coupled with the jingling mood and bouncy guitar play, give Roobaroo the feel of a picnic....It's about fire inside, light inside and brightening horizons with hopes of tomorrow. The song comes out with 'Rangeela' touch as ''Tapoori'' song with youthful emotions.

9>>>>IK ONKAAR

Pure and devotional Sikh prayers are offered with eternal dignity and pious feel in ''Ik Onkaar''. The sacred ''Japji Sahib'' verses have been sung devotionally by singer Harshdeep Kaur. This one and half minute prayer creates an ambience of devotion and serenity and this brings out the auspicious beginning of the album.

According to me A R rahman is one of those very few versatile music directors who come up with new feelings and moods with each album.Though his music takes a little time to show its magic ,not because its bad but because its different from others.I would like totell all the people who will read this review that don't judge A r R rahman's music by listening to it just once. When you listen to it for the first time just hear the lead singers sing. But when you hear the album for the second time don't listen to the lead singers sing, hear the chorus sing and hear only the background music, that will make you hear those songs numerous times.I hope my suggestion helps You......

I truly dedicate this review to my favorite ''A R RAHMAN'' !!!!!

So this is what I really feel about this album...This is my first review on MS so I don't know how i've lived up to everyone's expectations...Well lets hope for the best ,right?????
