There is press and there is gutter press. There are TV shows like serials, news, entertainment and now there is Reality TV. Reality TV is now turning into gutter TV seeing the kind of reality shows they have been beaming without a thought to those viewers who are still in an impressionable stage.
The newest reality show on the block is Rakhi ka Insaaf beamed on Imagine. Either the channel is unable to garner the required TRPs or is in dire need of good writers and directors and producers of shows, that it has now stooped to the level of beaming Gutter shows. And we thought only Big Boss could stoop to levels where everything personal is beamed for public entertainment, including intimate moments of inmates.
Rakhi Sawant as we all know is a loud personality with equally competing vocal chords. Her antics we have witnessed on earlier shows like Big Boss and dance reality shows. However, she has really crossed any sane person's imagination. First of all she is a judge.yeah I know you must be grinning. But that is a fact, imagine someone who cant solve her life problems is on TV solving other people's problems.
I dont watch her shows as a rule, however I happened to catch a glimpse of her show on one of the news channels and was shocked at not only the content, but the language and the behavior of not only rakhi, but also the guests on the show. I guess the particular episode dealt with the existence of casting couch in the industry. There was a director and a model. The model was telling how the director propositioned her and when she did not answer his phone calls how he had abused. She used the abuses and Rakhi supported her in calling really vulgar names to the director. The limits of decency were broken when the model hit the director with her footwear and the director was physically lifted and taken off the sets
.
I just caught a glimpse of this on the newschannel and am wondering whether people actually watch this trash show for what it is worth. No wonders, imagine isnt doing as well as it imagined it would when it started out.
