This is a pretty good restaurant with a very nice ambience situated on Baner Road, Aundh in Pune. They have a nice lawn with a pretty good play area for kids and for those who like to stay indoors, they have some seating indoors as well. I have tried North Indian & tandoori chicken dishes out here with is pretty passable(nothing too great but sort of worth the money).
I had been there a couple of times but the last time I went there I had a very bad experience that I would like to share. I went to dine there on a Saturday evening along with my in-laws and there were two kids with us. They had a big screen put up in their lawn which was beaming a live India cricket match and we found a nice place to settle down & watch the match. No sooner had we settled down, the head waiter swooped down on us & presented the menu and started asking for the order(I was quite amused by his efficiency as this has never happened to me in Pune! Reminded me of Bangalore for a moment!). Though we took time, he rushed for the order and by then, the kids started playing around. The head waiter spoke to the kids pretty rough & tried to scare them into settling down on the seat. We did not mind this much because sometimes the kids act a lot cranky and its better if they are a frightened a bit by someone.
Soon the soup & starters arrived and we were pretty engrossed in the match(India was batting then against Bermuda). The waiter who started serving the soup & starts was virtually throwing the cutlery on the table. I never noticed it until my wife pointed it out to me & when he came around the next time, he literally banged the plate containing starters on the table. I got very upset & called the head waiter and asked him if there was something wrong! Was the waiter unhappy with something or was he in no mood to serve us! He curtly mumbled something and went back without any apology.
We did not feel like spoiling our mood that day & since it was too late in the evening, we continued with our dinner. I am not sure what was wrong with the staff members of the restaurant that day but as customers we had a very bad experience. I made it a point not to tip even a single paise & also mentioned this to the head waiter that this would be my last visit to this restaurant!
