Raees - A trip down bygone era

After a very long time, came along a movie that transported you straight back to a bygone era, where Salim Javed scrips ruled Bollyland and Amitabh Bachchan strutted as the angry young man in the bylanes of bollywood.

Shahrukh as Raees shines through and through in his role as a bootlegger. Brought back memories from Baazigar where he unapologetically threw Shilpa Shetty down many storeys of a build.

Pakistani actress Mahira khan role is just arm candy and the real eye candy is Raees a.k.a Shahrukh Khan who not only is a delight to watch but after a long time has shown his acting prowess beyond the realm of lover boy. The last time we saw such a powerpacked performance from him was in Chak De.

With the Laila mein Laila item number, Sunny Leone turns over a new leaf and enters into the big league club. Her sexiness oozes from all the possible pores and the feet thumping and music loaded number is very weaved intricately into the movie with the murder of the mentor thus also proving to be turning point in the plot.

The surprise package and the one who walks away with all the whistles, accolades and the straight faced cheesy and funny one liners is the most under rated actor of this era - Nawazzudin Siddiqui.

All in all a great movie, with some great music and an equally good, gripping storyline and fabulous acting by all actors except the arm candy Mahira Khan.
