Raam--worth a watch

Just as audiences were getting satisfied by the routine charge dipped out to them in the name of entertainment appears a film totally different in concept and conduct.

'Raam' is Ameer's second work

and while even with his debut film 'Mounam Pesiyathe' he had tried to be different, he hadn't quite succeeded then.

But in this film, which he's scripted, produced and directed, he proves that he now has a firmer grip on the medium.

Watch out for the performance of Jeeva as the difficult Raam.

Having played a lover boy in both his earlier films, Jeeva is a exposure here. He brings to life Raam, strange and unapproachable, with a disturbing quietness about him, with his sudden occurrence of temper, his delivery and innocence at times, and his receptiveness towards the spiritual.

Jeeva, as he goes through the various mood changes of Raam, infuses his role with subtle nuances, using his body language to good effect, there being not much dialogue for the character. It is a splendid performance from the actor.

Rehman's voice, dialoge delivey is not good.

Director: Ameer

Cast: Jeeva, Gazala, Rehman, Murali, Saranya, Sakthi, Kanja Karuppu

Raam is a film worth a watch!
