My take on the movie - Plot - Kangana (Rani aka Queen) belongs to middle class Delhi mithaiwala family. She is all set to marry the guy who wooed her since college. He just returned from London before the wedding. A changed man.he calls off the shaadi. Rani is heartbroken, shocked, shaken. She decides to go to Paris, Amsterdam on her pre-booked honeymoon all alone! Initially she is sad looking at all the lovely couples.PDA etc.her past keeps haunting her.but slowly she breaks free.and enjoys her trip. In paris she meets Lisa Ray.i found her charachter over the top and quite obsecene. also they could have shown us the Eiffel tower much better.they just gave us a passing view.not fair:(:( Both locations were big cultural shocks for me as a audience. Amsterdam was too much. I thought the few scenes and dialogues were unnecessarily obscene. Which was not so much required. Most of the locations were pubs, dingy lanes, lap dancer club etc etc. Few good locations of this foreign land could be shown. Now the good part - the bonding of rani with her global friends was nice. Their friendship was nicely depicted. specially the Japanese guy TAKA was very sweet. The Italian cook was also nice. Rani's parents, dadi were shown very supportive towards her. So basically the concept was good that no matter what life throws at you. Find yourself. Know your true worth. Kangana has acted very well. Few punch lines were good for laugh. Somewhere you will compare it to English Vinglish. But not much. That one was a saaf suthara film.
The hero is too boring and has no scope whatsoever. Things like why he calls off the wedding and later wants her back are not reasoned out.
Music - Songs are well matched to the situations.Hungama ho gaya(old song) in Asha ji's voice will remain with u. Love her magical voice!
Parents who brought their kids were surely in a awkward position. So beware as even normal audience will be embarrassed many times during this film. 2/5
You can wait to watch it on TV.
