I must have been very bad in my previous life that I landed up watching Qayamat last Monday. From the four movies we had in mind to watch namely MPKDH, Charlie's Angels Full Throttle, which I have already seen; Saaya and Qayamat my friends picked Qayamat over Saaya. This sci-fi flick is way too embarrassing to watch. After two long days of getting over the already fantastic movie I feel as if I am on a noble mission to save all you guys from the ultimate torture by writing this review.
- The Cast and performances - - - - - - - -
You all must be aware by now that this multi-starer movie is an exact remake of Hollywood blockbuster ''The Rock''
1) Ajay Devgan - the Indian Sean Connery does not talk too much in the second half of the movie. He is impressive but it's not a one-man show is it?
2) Aashish Chowdhry - Nicholas Cage (the chemical freak) is not a man according to his g/f Sheetal
3) Arbaz Khan, Sanjay Kapoor and Iisha Koppikar - together as Ed Harris. The former are brothers and the latest is their common girl friend.
The rest of the cast includes Neha Dhupia as Ajay's love. Riya Sen as Aashish's love. Not to mention Sunil Shetty as the patriotic officer who has lost his love.... I feel love is in the air or something? Chunky Pande is the evil chemical freak that is a trater to his motherland. And the other older actors who had to be there coz they are all CM and C.B.I chief and all blah blah. One can say that instead of Ajay Devgan, Sunny Deol would have done justice to the role.

Have you seen, ''The Rock'' if yes then you should know the Plot coz there is hardly any difference between the two except for the indian touch to it. Terrorists threaten to contaminate the Mumbai drinking water and in return ask for 1500 crore RS. and a ship to escort them to the only nation that supports anti Indian activities. Mr. Patriotic Officer wants help from ex-terrorist Ajay Devgan who is the only 1 who knows the sole way into the Villain's hide out. Then there is all fighting and dialogue and what not between the chaos of love, patriotism, betrayal and everything else. The story as such does not requires songs but this is a bollywod movie so they are put in just for fun. Huh fun no there is not a single song in the movie that brings to your mind the three-letter word. If you happen to travel by train sometime you will notice that most of the Nadeem Shravan have the same ''dhing chika chik dhing,dhing chika chik'' rhythm played by the beggars. Either they fasten it or make it slow accordhing to the https://lyrics. Keep readhing.
- The Stunts - - - - - - - - -
They are one step ahead to the regular Indian movie one can even say they are way too ahead and so they don't fit here. The bombs are exploded in front of the green screen and the mixing is poor. The Indian cricket players who are a bit lazy in the field can learn lessons from Ajay and Iisha who throw and catch almost half the size of a cricket ball bombs every now and then. Have you seen the Hollywood flicks like Mission Impossible, True Lies, Entrapment or Face off if not have no fear ''Qayamat'' is here? Harry Bewajah (not a spelling mistake mind u) puts all he has seen in his life into this one. On close look one may even find that Ajay Devgan and Aashish Chowdhry have adopted a good style of fighting like WWE star wrestler Undertaker or Edge maybe. So technically speaking you get a hell lot of entertainment when they fight.

Most exposed actress award undoubtedly goes to again Neha Dhupia.... ooooooooooooh hot babe.
Sanjay Kapoor memorial best laughter award goes to ...aaaammm Sanjay Kapoor ... all he can do is laugh his head off.... trust me when you see the movies like KMDSP and his previous flops you would know.
Best actor who dies and comes alive like 3 or 4 times goes to Sunil Shetty.
If you want to go to a movie rent 1 instead of going to this one. If someone offers to pay your ticket tell him that you will not be responsible for his/her death coz after he/she comes out he/she will be due to the loss of such a great amount of money. Do you have any enemy you really want to take revenge on, if yes recommend this to him/her. Over all Qayamat is really the Qayamat of good hindi movie.
