Founded back in the 1920s the Queensland and Northern Territories Airline Service (QANTAS) now has a global flying network, taking in places such as the Far East and South Pacific. My personal experience: I found that overall, Qantas were very good indeed. I flew from London to Bangkok, Bangkok to Sydney and then onto Cairns, and finally back to London via Singapore. I can truthfully say that I was not uncomfortable on the planes, even though the legroom isn't as generous as say, Air New Zealand or Malaysia Airlines who give 34'' to the 32'' that QANTAS provide. I think this has something to do with the space-saver seats which have been installed on their planes recently. As I have already mentioned, comfort was good Entertainment: There is an in-seat radio for every passenger with a variety of different stations catering from every taste from pop to rock to classical and this was good although it did repeat EVERY THREE HOURS. On a flight of over 20 hours this can get a little repetitive to say the least. Each passenger was given a handy amenities kit before takeoff which was much appreciated. Thumbs up! If you have the chance to go to Australia, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending you to fly with QANTAS unless you have young children to occupy as the entertainment could become important then in keeping them distracted!
