Recommendation is yes provided you have no other choice.
There are 2 reasons for which I frequent the PVR – Vikaspuri the most.
1) It is closest to my place of stay
2) PVR’s online booking facility
Besides the above 2 positive reasons for me, I find it very average and would switch the multiplex at the first opportunity.
Highlights
Online booking – basic navigation and basic features but works 90% of the time.
i) They don’t give the options to track our booking history
ii) My last booking is showing me 2 debit transactions in my credit card statement. The friendly guy at the corporate office has promised a speedy resolution. Will have to wait and watch.
Picture and sound quality is good.
The negatives:
1) Staff with “I don’t care” attitude at the ticket window. Firstly, there have been numerous occasions when I have noticed that even at the peak load they don’t operate all the ticket windows. Hence long queues! The staff is mostly busy in chit-chatting with each other and shows no sense of urgency and respect for time. Infact, at one instance I landed up at the cinema hall for the 10:00 morning show(after doing the online booking), to collect the tickets, I spent 15 mins at the ticket counter as the guy who was suppose to man the counter was standing outside & then switching on computers etc. He was showing a complete ignorance of thecustomers standing at the window. It was like collecting tickets from the window of some “payal talkies” some 10 years back.
2) Washrooms are average.
3) Seats are bad with average comfort and stinks. Terrible smell is something which is noticed at more than one instance.
Probably, I will stop going for this venue once I have some other alternative available. Till then I have to live with it.
PS: If somebody from the staff can be present in side the hall through out and keep a check on people talking loudly on phone or otherwise, it will be great. It is long way that we understand that talking loudly on phones inside the cinema halls is not the proper etiquette.
