Many of us are victim of such commodities which look so impressive initially but later irritated you, sometimes to the limit. Pureit water purifier is one such commodity in my house.
I was happy to get this beautiful looking stuff for Rs 2000 last year. It was brought to my house within four hours of the call to Pureit helpline(not toll free that time). It was installed in no time and a computer generated bill for Rs 1999 was handed over to me. I was also told some dos and do n`ts. Two mobile numbers were written by the backside of the bill, in case I need the Germkill battery when the initial one exhausts after purifying 1500 litre. That time the GKB was costing just Rs 300.
After some five months of normal use,I needed the replacement of the kit.I called the tolled number and was assured the home delivery soon. But it took three days, that too with repeated calling. I feel at least Rs 10 was wasted on telephone calls.
Now the kit was costing Rs 365 but installation was free, thank God. Upon asking, no justification was given for the price rise. How can they? I became as good as the bonded labour of Hindustan Lever Limited. they will keep on increasing the price of it`s GKB and we will keep paying!!!
Now, it was limit. I called (toll free)Pureit helpline no. I got reply that for 1500 litre Germ Kill Battery, I need to pay Rs 400+Rs30. Why Rs 30? I asked. I was told it was fitment of the GKB!!
Now, dear reader, what is the credibility of Hindustan Unilever pureit??In next GKB, I may need to pay Rs 500 which was initially Rs 300 when I first ordered it.
Functioning
I need to put water manually ( 9 litres), In 30-45 minutes, it gets filtered. when a new GKB is fitted for next 15 days one can see white deposit of chlorine at the base of the filtered water compartment, which looks very odd and even cheap.
Water tap is of good quality though.
the look of this device is also captivating for a new onlooker.
Latest Fraud
The latest irritation is that to promote 2250 litre GKB, they express their inability to provide 1500 lit saying that it was out of stock.
HUL Pureit `thugs`, do you feel you can make everyone your victim like this? After reading this review, I feel at least 10 lakhs readers will be exposed to your un ethical business practice.
