There was a deal on Groupon_India for Punjab Grill Restaurant and even we wanted to taste the food over here from a long time. We took the deal of Unlimited Food + Unlimited Drinks as mentioned in the voucher. I called up reception to find out whether IMFL drinks can be replaced with Cocktail, in turn the receptionist enquired with someone and told us it is fine other than Wine based cocktails.
When we reached over there they refused to serve cocktails, however after a long discussion they agreed for 3 Cocktails per person. They served only two varieties of starters and refused for others.
The quality of the drinks deteriorated for the second round, cocktails came without ice and without any proper presentation. We were quite upset the way they were treating and looking towards us as we are the customers who have come with a deal, we could see that on their face. They were not quite happy to serve us. They didn’t ask us what type of water (Regular/Mineral) we need, and they didn’t fill the glass too with regular water.
The actual prices of the cocktails were 525, but the vodka they were using was Romanov. This is a place where you get low cost/quality drinks at an arbitrary price. The food taste was average. Service was not up to the mark. Finally, everyone in our group had stomach upset, which was worrisome :(
Stay away from deals or group discount @ Punjab Grill. Avoid drinks. Be careful with the food what they serve.
Anyway we had planned for team lunch from our office, after our initial assessment we advised our colleagues to choose a different place.
