This is the best computer engg college in India. I would rate them higher than even the IITs. PICT is the first college in India which introduced a branch called computer engg in India, back in 1983. PICT has always set the trend in terms of syllabus and its teaching methods and standards. PICT is a private college afffilated to University of Pune. It has excellent infrastructure and professors. It has a small campus but adequate since the number of students is small compared to other engg. colleges. They have three branches only and the focus is on computers, instrumentation, electronics & telecommunications. To prove PICT's track record you just have to look at their alumni. PICT alumni can be found at virtually every major corporation around the world. The staff at PICT really make your work hard to get your basics right and focus on improving your fundamentals and analytical & professional capabilities. Since the total number of students in the college is comparatively small its a very close knit family. As for its recognition PICT is affiliated with Motorola Univerity and offers MS course on its campus from Motorola University. PICT also boasts of the largest Student branch of the IEEE in the world. I must admit that I'm an alumni of Pune Institute of Computer Technology,(PICT) and I can vouch for every word I said above. I must add because of its reputation its tough to getting admission here. They close typically at 98%.
