I went to Priyamvada Birla Aravind Eye Hospital just a few days ago with my father. Now, my father(a senior citizen) wanted to have a retinal check up. On arriving at the hospital we had to make a registration for the retinal check up. All these formalities took just a few minutes, and we were asked to wait. However, this wait turned out to be quite a long one.
After one hour or so, I inquired about the status of the check up and found out that we need to be patient and wait for some more time. Soon another hour went past by; still, there was no sign of the doctor. Finally, or say, unfortunately, we came to learn that the doctor for the retinal check up on that day will not attend my father for some reason. And we were told to visit the hospital again tomorrow at the same time. This I felt was extremely unprofessional first on the part of the doctor and also on part of the hospital. I felt throughout this communication process, the attitude of the hospital staff was quite rude. The staff also kind of ignored our presence to a great extent. I mean, how can anyone think of harassing a senior citizen like this?
Having no choice(since we have already paid for the registration charges), we again visited Priyamvada Birla Aravind Eye Hospital on the given time. And we again had to wait for an hour or so before my father finally got the permission to enter the doctor's room. The check up took ten minutes or so, and my father felt that the medical care and attention provided by the attending doctor was quite casual. In brief, my father was not satisfied. I too felt the same and promised not to visit Priyamvada again for the overall experience we had.
The only good thing that I noticed was the infrastructure of the hospital. The rooms were also quite clean and tidy.
