The Prestige....this is the movie I had beeen waitng for since I saw the triler and it seemd quiet interesting.....

and yes..it was....i haven't seen something like this in a very long time...

PLOT:

Hugh Jackman plays Angier, a magician whose love dies in a freak accident while performing a magic trick....what we though was an accident turns out to be a delberate wrong-doing by Christtian Bale (Borden)who because of this cause...becomes hiis arch rival and constantly try to thwart each others magic tricks....by ruining or exposing the trick.......which even makes this rivalry more intense to watch.....

Maichael cane is angiers assistant or manager who cannot fathom why he is sooo keen to know borden's trick secrets and somehow this leads to a complex plot of betrayal and decption and revenge...

The story is very SLOOOOOOOOOOOOWW http://www.this is a movie which after seeing it I realized would have been awesome if paced faster..it would really have made for a fun watch......but we had to go through flashbacks fro a diary which has its own backstory....which is fine..... but needed to have more pace to keep the audience glued.....which it didnt do....some people just got out in the interval....

But when the ending comes I was wholly satisfied with the shocking climax which explained many things............

and gave you the most unexpected thing you would never have thought of while watching the movie.

CAST:

Hugh Jackman as the broken man determined to find out serets and to build his own name acts very well...shows us how much a man can change for an obsession.

Christian Bale is just terrific....he has handeled many emotions of love hate revenge and agony in the shape of one complex character that by the ending [which entirely belongs to him] will leave you admiring his talent....

Michael Cane is also worthy of praise and as a man who later understands where truth should lie is also another good performance...

Scarlett Johannson is wasted amd has about half an hour of screen time and is not so convincing
