Pregnancy by Gordon Bourne...A superb book on all you ever wanted to know about Pregnancy, it's ups and downs on how each day, week and month will pass you by. It's fully revised and up to date. I don't know what I would do without it. All the feedback I need to get me by through the most exciting months of my entire life especially if you are a first time mother-to-be.

As a first time mother-to-be I was unsure of what to expect during the first inital weeks of being pregnant. I was completly full of mixed emotions and would burst out in tears every time something felt different and weird.

The first trimester was the most difficult to get by. So many problems I faced. I would be hungry all the time but everytime I devoured something I would immediately throw it up. All smells, tastes would make me feel nauseated. I did'nt know what to do. I was being a regular pain and I could feel the strain in my relationship with my husband. I was bugging him completly and he was being such a sweetheart about everything taking everything so cool in his stride.

In the following days he purchased this pregnancy book for me.

At first I was a little sceptical about reading it as I always thought that pregnancy book were full of jargons and they only preached you on how to do things their way.

I was amazed, completely glued to this book for hours on end. It's not your average Sidney Sheldon, Stephen King fictional kind of book but amazingly descriptive on everything you need to know from how the baby develops week by week. what you need to do, when you should first visit your gynaecologist, what you should eat, what to expect, when you feel your first fetal movements, How to know that you are in labour, when to visit the hospital. Basically everything from A-Z and that's not even the beginning , I could go on for ages.

I can surely tell you that this book helped me a lot to get through the Pros and Cons side of being pregnant. I have read many other books on pregnancy in the last few months, but never found them out to be as interesting as this one.

Having a child is a difficult decision but can be one of the most exciting and most fulfilling experiences a woman feels in her life especially if she is confident and is all knowing about what is involved about being pregnant.

Set out in a factual and reassuring way to make our lives easy and in knowing all aspects of being pregnant is what this book is all about.

I would recommend this book to anyone who can get their hands on one. And I hope that each and everyone of you all out there who is pregnant has a safe and healthy birth and Baby.

On a side note. The author of this book is a British doctor, so some of the examples and 'anecdotes' he uses may sound very ''English'' :-)
