Here I go with 1 more of my comprehensive reviews..Whenever I come here to write a review I always feel that I should write every single point about the product m reviewing or else it wont be justice to the review I write.
As m a total food freak il be reviewing my favorite restaurant today..As m a big bhukkad m always on search for new restaurants with delicious dishes. When I was in school I only remembered few places where I can hangout and have lunch/dinner out of which pizza hut is one such restaurant, MacD's one of my favorite, dominos pizza etc.
These all places were average or mayb a lil bit over average according to me, cause once I visited poptates all other restaurants ratings went down from my viewpoint..maybe before going poptates I could have rated pizza hut, macD, dominos as good or very good..That's what poptates can do to you.
Highly recommended to anyone and everyone!!!!!
Frankly speaking I didn't ever hear about this restaurant until, once in my degree college day one of my friend called me over for his birthday party celebration..He initially told me that it was bar where in all hard drinks as well as soft drinks were served with a huge variety of food. I really thank GOD that I accepted the invitation and went with my college mates to celebrate over there.
The restaurant was situated in one mall nearing thane, R-mall..When we reached the entrance of the restaurant, on reading the name of the restaurant "POPTATES-The unrestaurant"..It appear to me kinda funny, couldn't judge the ambience as we were just entering, was all nervous and let my friends enter the restaurant as I dint wanted to make a fool outof myself as I dint knew no head no tail about the restaurant.
On entering the restaurant the ambience was totally a new feel for me, as ive never ever been to such a place. I just fell in love with the ambience and the soothing songs going on..It was one of my favorite songs (Hotel california). I was still all nervous about the place, there was a projector which projected the live football match of english premier league on a big screen..The restaurant had majority of youth crowd and few kitty party groups and few old people having beer and hard drinks. The roar of youth on a goal being scored, a penalty saved by the goalie really made up my mood :-)
The ambience and the decor was awesome and very customer friendly..old songs being played..small baloons of different colors hanging from the ceiling gave a more better pleasant feel. We clicked many pics together, enjoyed our time laughing..watching match etc. The table where we sat had many funny quotes written on them.
Now coming to the service, When we entered the restaurant we were warmly greeted my the guard, and assisted by the manager as we entered the restaurant. We were asked how many people were there and then the manager accordingly guided to the table where in all we friends could fit. So far so good, we were impressed by the welcome and the way we were guided to the table. We were served with mineral water( In case u don't want mineral water, u can opt for normal water). Then after some time a waiter came to take our order, as I was new to this place I preferred to be mum..and let my friends do the talking.
They ordered the food and drinks, and they were informed by the waiter that their order will be placed in a span of 15-30 mins, and the food was delivered within the quoted time, it was really impressive as it was a huge order for around 10 people. The waiter kept serving us with water every now and then. Brilliant assistance by the staffs. The best part was when at the end we were asked to fill up the suggestion and how did u enjoy ur stay at poptates. They use these feed-backs to increase the customer satisfaction. Even while we exited the restaurant we were greeted with a smile by the manager and the guard. The service and the greetings was great and we were made to feel as we were at home.
Now come the menu and that's what poptates are best at, as my friends did all the talking while ordering the menu, I frankly never heard of the dishes ordered by my friends. The food was delivered by the waiter in the quoted time, there were variety of mock tails and cocktails served.. minimum cost of mock tails started from 100 bucks and above, minimum cost of cocktails started from 150 bucks. As am not a person who boozes a lot I preferred mock tails and had a wonderful experience as my friends ordered for me a blue lagoon mock tail..It was decorated with a piece of lime on it with a small umbrella, as in all traditional drinks which had a small umbrella kind of thing with piece of lime. The mock tail was great and very much chilled, truly had a ultimate experience drinking it :-)
Even the cocktails seemed to be great as my friends kept talking abt it all time long..Then the main course was a killer of a dinner, we had ordered 3 pizza (Hot spicy bonanza, peshwari chicken, barbecue chicken). All the 3 pizza were very hot and very yummy, adding to this happiness it was worth for the money we paid..and we also ordered 2 sizzler ( garlic chicken sizzler, chicken tikka sizzler) These two sizzler were awesome, never had ate such a dish in which there were multiple dishes who's taste was soooo yuMmMmMmMmmmmmmmmmmm..
After the main course we ordered the sizzling brownie, on hearing my friends chanting the name I was surprised as to what kind-of dish is this, but when the waiter bought the dessert it was the best among all the thing I had that night..a big brownie which had a scoop of vannilla ice-cream and hot hot chocolate being poured on it..it was just so awesome when I put it in my mouth..it melted and the feel that I went through I can't describe..
It was worth and the bill came around 4k, was really a cheap buy considering the quality we were served there..
This place seriously rocks as its a place where all generation people can hang-out, different moods for different people so it the best place to hang-out on a Saturday night and place for parties..so next time whenever its a treat from ur friends side go poptates..kindly find the nearest outlet of poptates and party hard guys!!!!!
The menu is very much diverse and one can find nearly everything here, there are happy hours from 2.27 pm-7.27 pm..so there are many good deals to crack when ur in at the happy hours time, A place which is good for booze also..a jar of beer free on ordering one..
Whenever anyone's mood is not fine ul can opt for poptates, whenever you wanna go out for a date u can opt for poptates..whenever u wanna take ur mom dad out for quality dinner u can opt for poptates!!!!!
Over the 5 years ive developed serious liking for poptates..POPTATES THE WAY TO GO
