The connought place (Delhi) of Chennai, the Orchard Road (Singapore) of Chennai, The Haupt Bahnhof (switzerland) of Chennai or the Manhattan (NewYork) of Chennai...Yes though Chennai has expanded its commercial wings all across its directions, still PB is considered to be the centre of chennai.
We have all the local & international brands across the length & breadth of this road and Its not easy to stroll all of them in a day or in an evening.
Of Late, Parking and pedestrian experience has been pretty smooth as it has been streamlined by the (then) Jayalalitha Govt. Surprisingly, hence, unlike all international the spots mentioned above, Parking is easy.
Food?? Name it - you have it all !.. Infact , there are more restaurants than shops and they are scattered all over the road and hence you dont go hungry shopping. And Chennai is always known for its cheaper price and so you could get your stomach filled for as less as Rs.20.
The only worst thing that I faced and often irritated is not giving receipts for the parking. They have an understanding and hence they mark the in-time with chalk piece, in our car and they dont provide receipts. Dont know if the corporation knows about it. This really irritates me, as , if something happens to my car, there is no one to blame though I pay my money.
Overall, Pondy Bazaar Shopping is always a nice experience.
