I had tried using policy bazaar insurance for my car to get a comprehensive plan. Payment was made after which upon inspection(through photos their representative took and uploaded digitally), the digital insurance was rejected as the online inspection was not passed. I specifically asked them to cancel the plan in that case as they said we will not be able to take a comprehensive plan in this scenario online and to issue a full refund as I do not want any other type of insurance from them.


Upon refund, only half the amount was returned and without any reasons provided.


Was hoping to get the rest and then later after WE followed up, we were informed that they automatically converted it to a third-party insurance (which we did not want nor did we ask for it) without our permission apparently due to a so-called rule by the government. (according to government rules it is a minimum requirement to have at least third-party insurance but we wanted to take a comprehensive plan which we can procure from an offline company) the government does not give them the right to choose our plan for us and nowhere in their terms and conditions did they mention that they will automatically choose a plan for us if one gets rejected.


If our insurance is about to expire, is it not the owner's responsibility to get it renewed at their own risk with whichever plan they see fit? Who gave your company the right to decide which plan to choose for us that too without our permission?!


Absolutely terrible customer service.


And until we asked for it, they did not even send us the policy number or any details so how are we to know that they have themselves initiated a plan on our behalf without our permission?


And now they are asking us to show another new plan which we have procured only after which they will cancel the current plan they chose for us and that too we will be facing deduction from that amount as well for cancellation!!


And How can we trust that after we procure a new plan if they will still weasel out of giving the refund making another set of excuses?


Then today,


After I got the alternate insurance as they had asked to get this current plan cancelled, they are only refunding a measly amount of 359 rupees out of 3000 sumting. Is this a joke to these people???


Never go to this company for any of your requirements!


Absolute fraudulent work!
