I purchased a camera battery(Sony NP-BG1 Type G) which did not come in a sealed pack and turned out be FAULTY. It was not holding any charge . The option for raising a return or cancel an order was not working in the site!. So I called up only one helpline number available on the site. Someone called Anirudh picked up. I told him the issue but he was not convinced.


He asked me to send the pic of the battery to which I asked why a pic of the battery and asked him to get the details from the order itself(my point was the pic of the battery does not help in anyway to understand why the battery is not holding charge and does not help our discussion!). To this, he got irked and started giving me lecture on how to behave decently. After a while he cut the call saying that he will call back. Waited for two days for his call but did not get any call.


Then I put a mail to the support email address explaining the issue but did not get any response.


I called him couple of times. Finally he answered. Again I tried to explain the issue. He started giving me instructions as to how to charge the battery and how to use it as if he is the only knowledgeable person and I am dumb. At this point, I understood that getting a refund will be tough for me. I kept complying with his instructions so as not to irk him further since my money was at stake. He again started giving me sermons and it continued for a while. Finally, he seemed to agree for a return and agreed to converse on WhatsApp about the return process. I provided the order details to him on WhatsApp.


Waited for two days for him to respond but getting none I messaged him many times to which he never replied properly. I again called him. He kept saying that he is busy and started giving excuses. This time I advised him to honour the contract between a shopkeeper and a customer and respond properly. Then he asked me to send the product back to him so that refund can be processed. I couriered the product to him with my expenses and after the product reached him again I messaged him in WhatsApp to process the refund. For the next four days, I kept on pinging him on WhatsApp but he never gave a proper reply.


Then I tried calling him couple of times and he will not pick the calls. He started avoiding me. At this point, I was very worried and started thinking of approaching the consumer forum.


I put message to him to pay me back in two days failing which I will have no other option but to register case in consumer forum to get my money back. And now he hurriedly replies to me and agrees to pay me back in a day. Also as per him, he is being considerate and out of politeness he is giving me refund. It was too much for me to take. I told him that he is just returning my money and not showering any mercy and asked him refrain from making such statements. I told him to pay up or else as a consumer I know rights and duties and know what to do next. Again few more message exchanges before he finally returns my money.


The site and offline store looks promising for photography equipment but does not really have necessary infrastructure and intent to serve and honour the online consumer base.


The owner does not really care about the online customers once the product is sold. He will not respond to emails, phone calls and messages and engage in delaying tactics. In my case, it was a faulty battery and he had the responsibility to address the issue promptly. Rather than being sorry for the trouble caused, he was arrogant, cunning and wanted to have an upper hand in the conversations and never really cared to refund my money until I told him that I will approach the consumer forum. I have attached proofs to prove my points. The screenshots for WhatsApp messages exchanged which show the laxity and the call history to show the number of calls he did not care to answer.

UPDATE(15/12/23): Just now I have understood that the owner has started creating fake reviews in this site to boost the score. Please do thorough research before making purchases from this site. I had to go through much pain in order to get my money refunded.
