Flash back: I had tried a friend's epilator about seven years back and swore that I would never go through such torture again. Present: I gained enough courage to try it once again at "Health & Glow" and found that epilators have come a long way since.
I used to wax regularly, but there are many problems that waxing brings:
Need to go to the
Need to spend anywhere between Rs.300 to Rs.500 for waxing legs and arms
Waxing not very effective when the hair growth is not much
Occasionally skin damage due to excessive heat
Rashes
Cumbersome and sticky
Every time I had to go out, I had to select my outfit based on the amount of hair I have on my body.
I am extremely happy that I purchased Philips Epilator. Like many others, it is the best beauty investment that I have made so far. I've got total control now. It is extremely convenient to use, just plug and get going. If you hold it right and press it against your skin in the right manner, it pulls out all the hair without any pain. Maybe, waxing for over a decade has made my skin used to the pain. It didn't hurt me the first time and I am pretty sure, it won't hurt me in future too.
The pack contained the following:
- epilation machine
- shaving head
cleaning brush
sensitive area cap
massage head
loofah
travel bag
adapter
user guide
warranty card
It cost me Rs.3495/- but I would recover the cost just by saving approximately 7 waxing sessions in a parlour.
Things that you can keep in mind while using the device:
Sit on a big towel to avoid spreading hair everywhere
Keep your epilator dry
Use loofah daily and occassionally scrub your body with a soft body scrub
Apply lacto calamine lotion or any antiseptic lotion after epilation
Do not apply any body lotion on the day you epilate your hair
I am extremely satisfied with the device and am glad that I bought it.
