Suffering with my system. Review on Philips FW548C - CD Systems

Please do not buy this system (PHILIPS FW 398C)!

FIRST OF ALL:: I KNOW PHILIPS IS VERY NICE COMPANY, I HAVE NO DOUBTS ABOUT ITS QUALITY, SO WHATEVER I BELIEVE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT OTHERS MAY NOT.

I bought this system(fw 398c) 3 years ago, and suffered a lot.

Ya it has so many drawbacks that I am trying to explain here, but pls friends forgive me for my poor grammar.

>>First good reason to not to buy this system is, today there are many mp3 systems in low prices so, this system has no resell value now,I am also failed to sell this system at the half of price.

-> There are many technical troubles with this system (others’ may not have)

-After just 6 months use, audio cd play was not working well, at that time it was in warranty period so I gave it to service station and repaired it.

->when My system’s vcd card(PHILIPS VCD CARD, attached when purchased this system)was disconnected internally, Philips service station charged me Rs 350/- for solving that matter.

-->some other system operational inconveniences

It has forward/rewind utility in just one tape socket(tape no:2), on other tape-1 u cant forward or rewind the cassette SO BETTER TO BUY 400 WATT PHILIPS THAN 1000 WATT 398 C MODEL ,because IN 400 WATT MODEL IT HAS FORWARD/REWIND UTILITY IN BOTH TAPES SOCKETS.

->It is the big limitation, if u want to forward and rewind the cassette with remote control u have to put it in side B !

àCONTINUOUS PLAY in this system, it plays one side of cassette and then rewinds it and again starts playing the same side.

-->While playing song/music, whenever the music modes is changed eg. from rock to techno, zazz to optimal etc., U CAN effortlessly HEAR A CLEAR INTERRUPT(soundless moment) IN SONG/MUSIC..THIS NOT HAPPENS WITH OTHER SYSTEM.

RECENTLY in my system IF I REWIND THE FULL CASSETTE AND DO NOT STOP IT, IT WILL BE TRAPPED IN CASSETTE PLAYER very difficult to remove from it.

::at present I am facing problem with vcd ,i can see the picture but audio output is not ok!

-->>pls,do not forget vcd card is attached it by philips authorized, and it is philips vcd card with 1 years separate warranty.

WORST RADIO OUTPUT

u cant hear any band clearly even local fm cant be captured clearly.

so, according to me do not buy this player ,and buy some mp3 player.

These problems can be to mine system only!

so, if anything wrong with my opinion than pls let me know ,thank you reader.

=> One of the service station employee offering that to give him Rs.500/- each year and he will give any service/maintenance full year with no extra charge.

But then what is the benefit buying the world best company' product?
