There was a time when we had a VCR at home. We used to buy video cassettes and watch movies like the Godfather at home. Well, though the sheer excitement of watching a movie would be enthralling a certain amount of disappointment and despair would be present with the kind of quality we would have in out viewing. The figures would shake and brake and would play all sorts of games. I really did crave for a change many a times in my childhood.
Aha! What a change the VCDs made to my life. The clarity in picture and sound the VCDs give is certainly great and now the concept of a video cassette is absolutely obsolete. Well, remember the gramophone and the records. One can say that VCDs are very much similar to them. For a VCD or an ACD you need a player. Which one to go for? The Philips AZ 5050 comes with a high-end technological design which is as light weighed as a feather. Equipped with two 150W PMPO speakers the VCD player has a remote that is so very user friendly. Let me not bore you with a lot of details about the remote right now.
The player has a built in radio, which can broadcast 5 bands and among all the best experience is provided by the FM band. Well, I love listening to Radiocity in this system. A Graphic Equalizer is a wonderful equipment which provides us with the best of sound transmission. A LCD display coupled with a digital tuning device makes the radio all the more versatile. Hey, I forgot about the telescopic ariels. They come in very handy while you tune channels like FM from a far off distance.

The Slow funcion on the remote will enable us to watch a VCD in a slow speed, say like an action replay. But the audio is muted when in this mode. More so there are so many cool features like the Pause, Zoom (which will make us view a still picture frame in an enlarged mode), A-B Repeat, Return, Digest and a lot more. The CD Synchronizer would we very useful in making the CD play in a proper fashion.
One is going to be certainly satisfied with this product for the simple reason that it is so much user-friendly. Well, I would say so with authority for the simplicity in the design of the remote. Though being a universal remote that can operate on any Philips system, all the functions are just a touch away and you’ll easily find out the difference. In my opinion this is the best around and I certainly have enjoyed it over a year now. Watching movies have never been as pleasant as it is right now. So if you would want a suggestion from me as for a VCD player, I would strongly recommend the Philips AZ 5050 for it gives you a pleasing experience.
