Petta is a movie that will be a joy for all the Rajnikanth fans.
The movie stars Rajinikanth, Simran, Vijay Sethupathi. Karthik Subbaraj is the director of the film.
Petta has an interesting story which consists of a feared politician and his gangster son making a hostel warden their target, without realizing that he is not who he claims to be and they are the ones who should fear him.
Although, Petta brings back Rajinikanth's hit- Baashha, it feels fresh and new. It does not feel like just a get together of Rajnikanth's greatest films, which is way it is amazing. Their college scenes become repetative and boring and the plot feels a little slow. The romance between Rajinikanth and Simran is pure bliss to watch. The supporting characters are not given an important role. Even great actors like Nawazuddin Siddiquie are sidelined and look out of place. Vijay Sethupathi also has been under utilized. Karthik Subbaraj takes a backseat as a director and lets Rajinikanth take the lead which is smart of him because it works and makes for a great film.
Petta movie gives the audience the Rajinikanth that they were looking for with its punchlines and amazing dialogues.
Petta is a mass entertainment film that you are sure to have fun while watching go and watch and have a great time.
