The recent AD campaign by Thums Up to discredit Pepsi is definitely in bad taste. After the AD blitz by Thums Up I have started tasting Pepsi in a big way and let me tell you I like Pepsi. A big THANKS to Thums Up.
An AD of this nature reveals few things:
Thums Up is scared of Pepsi.
Thums Up does not have a fizz in itself.
It recognises that Pepsi is a big threat for it.
Pepsi is being accepted by more people than Thums Up.
I give a big Thums Up to Pepsi for scaring a company to a defensive or is it attacking position. I would love to try Thums Up if they did not compare themselves but rather won a market share on their own brand strength. Till then it is Pepsi with me all the way.
Thums Up to Pepsi, a company that has taken on the might of a company like Coca-Cola and Thums down to Thums Up that has hitched a ride on Coca-Cola and had to still fight the Pep....
